I see that 85,000 (83k inside the stadium, along with 1.5k outside) attended the friendly between Sydney FC & Chelsea yesterday.
We've got the Champions Cup here next month with Real Madrid, Manchester City, Internazionale and Inter I think where they are expecting huge crowds of over 90,000 at these games. Big boost for 'soccer' here in Oz and Ronaldo will definitely put the proverbial 'bums-on-seats'.
10,000 also watched Chelsea at their only training session for the game. When Man U played a friendly at the same venue in 2013, over 20,000 paid to see their training session with over 83,000 at the game. I was at both matches. The highest attendance at the stadium for a football match is just over 104,000 for the 2000 Olympics final between Cameroon and Spain which I also attended. Today the stadium capacity is around 84,000.
