"Liverpool will kick-off their preparations for the 2011-12 season on a tour of Asia - sponsored by Standard Chartered - with a game in China against Guangdong Sunray Cave. The Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou will host the match with kick-off at 8pm local time (1pm BST). It is the Reds' first ever game in mainland China." http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/match/fix...verpool-2011-7-13-13-00-00/next-match-preview ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So liverpool seem to be kicking off thier preseason campaign with a bunch of cavemen in china! will you be watching? Are you recording it, internetting it or just plain not going to see it..... if so this thread MIGHT be the thread for you! Its going to be nigh on impossible to do a proper preview thread for a match like this but i thought it'd be a change of pace from the endless transfer rumours. so.... Kids? Fringe players? 45 mins a man? jogging pace? whats your view.
I reckon kids and Experienced players on to begin with. It makes commercial sense to show your biggest stars in order to get a reaction out of the crowd, but I wouldn't expect them to play long. Does anyone know the amount of subs available? I wouldn't be surprised to hear all of them used.
I'll be watching it on LFC.TV tomorrow and i'll also try and do a match thread on here. I would suspect the 'bigger' names to play the first 20/30 minutes and then be replaced by the younger/fringe players later on in the game.
Konchesky won't be one of them.Apparently he's off to Sweden to tie up a deal with Leicester.Liverpool are actually getting money for Konchesky..would you believe it.Thank you Sven.
nice of sven to buy our junk we could throw him a few more bones if he wants them. does anyone know by the way if babel has woken up yet? when he finds himself in hoffenhiem without reina to wake him up he'll be quite bemused. I can't wait for kick off... mathc thread sounds good and i might drop in while also watching the game.
As I sometimes can't even get the game here during regular season here in the us (foxsoccer.tv is my friend) I'm not sure I'll be able to watch. Any updates/analysis skid be appreciated.
Anyone know if Suso is in the team? I like to catch him if I can as I feel all I have seen are highlights here and there and a bit of that "mystique" that pacheco had, until people got a better glimpse. I am intrigued to see if at any point we have say Lucas/Adam/Spearing sitting behind TWO AM in Aqua, meireles, maxi. I am always a fan of the two AM not two DM, all about the attack see.. ...
Chris. A match thread will be good. I'll be stuck in the office, so won't have chance to see any and don't have LFC TV as I don't have Sky - thank God! Wouldn't give a penny to that vile convict creature.
I'll try my best! The match kicks off at 1.00 so i'll start the match thread at 12.00 so we can all get some pre-match chat in!
Look on line at myp2p.eu. Then live sports then football. That's if either Fox or ESPN aren't taking it. There maybe an outside chance that ESPN Deportes may have it - can't stand their Tommy (old onion bag) Smyth commentator - he's a prat!
I'v heard Adam will start which will be interesting! I expect a mix of young and experienced. I will follow it on here!
people in my office probably wondering why they just heard a terrible laugh!! haha!! He really is awful, I will look for the video where he talks more about a squirrel on the field than the game. He is no ray hudson is he!
Nah Suso is with the reserves, they drew 4-4 today. Wisdom, Flanagan, Robinson and Conor Coady are the youngsters I've seen on the tour so far in the pictures. Don't think Sterling is there either as he's just been to the world cup so he's probably getting a well deserved rest!
yup really looking forward to seeing what a match thread looks like on this site tomorrow. also the reserves team was interesting to note who was in that and then looking at the seniors. I half expect kenny to just throw out a simple 4-4-2 if he's got a mind to see a lot of changes for the fitness thing. I'm not sure we'll see so much as we miss 3-4 real top stars right now anyway. but getting some action rather than press is great.
What time(our time)does it kick of mito?. And dont forget El Pistolero is on ESPN tomorrow night in Copa America
