I see Villa have won the Cup seven times....very impressive.

Not sure we should pursue this conversation......

 

Split loyalties here for me......Want Arsenal to win to put us into Europe but.......... I love supporting the underdog.
I guess that comes from supporting Saints most of my life. Probably about 85% of the time they have been the underdog when they have been in the top flight.
Although they were of course the underdog when they one it in 76!

 

I also always support the underdog, but here a win by Villa would in a way hurt Saints, so it's a no brainer. Come on Gunners! I'll never forgive you if you **** this up.

 

Here's hoping for a arsenal win! Theo is sure to be well up for this game.

Surely after the hat trick the previous weekend, Arsene is sure to start him.

One of the guys who sits with us (I really wish he didn't, but hey) is praying for a Villa win. He's one of 'those' fans.

Apparently it's too soon for us to qualify for Europe. Apparently we still need a year to improve the squad and consolidate ourselves as a top 8 (or better) team. Just like it was too soon for us to get promoted from the Championship, according to him. Yeah mate, you really turned out to be on the money with that one! If he'd got his way, we might still be in the Championship now.

Have faith in our board, and our club as a whole. These last few years would support that theory. And when presented with the chance to do something, don't pass that chance up on the belief that "there is always next season". You can never know for certain what the future brings, so take your chance with both hands when it comes along (even if that chance sits in someone else's hands, as is the case for us today).

 

If you need to cheer an underdog El Final de Copa del Rey gives you a great chance tonight!! Athetic Club de Bilbao v Barcelona.

 

Looking forward to this cup final more than most in recent seasons. Hopefully a classic with an arsenal win.

Maybe it could be US at next years final.

My best friend is a villa fan, so I've grown a soft spot for them over the years. Plus they're the underdogs. I have to support Villa

 

I am going to take an Arsenal win as a bonus...will assume nothing. As they say....put not your trust in princes (or top 4 teams).

 

You support Saints. You should support the result that's best for Saints. Let your best friend support Villa.

 

So using that kind of thinking, I assume your friend wants Arsenal to win as he has a soft spot for Southampton. fair enough...evens itself out.

Nah because I'd be happier for his team winning the FA cup than I would be for us fluking a Europa league spot. We can just qualify for Europa next year

 

I would be shocked if Villa get anything better than mauled. Poor team. Poor manager.

 

Why wait when we can get it next season? We won't have fluked it either.
