... Hull had just survived comfortably in the Premier League, were about to play in an FA Cup final, and were guaranteed European football... Steve Bruce was king, and Nigel Pearson was a useless manager with no Premier League experience and no hope of keeping us up... Funny how things change, eh!
... a salutary lesson on the fickle nature of the beautiful game Jack no doubt ... and also a note to us that we can't be complacent as it could just as easily come back to bite us on the arse ... without wishing to pontificate too much, might I refer you to the last two lines of this extract from Rudyard Kipling's 'If' ... "If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same;" ... very wise words I have discovered ... at the moment we are riding the crest of a wave and looking forward with some optimism .... long may it continue I hope.
Just having a bit of fun, Fosse! If you can't sing when you're winning, when can you sing? Besides, I have a funny feeling that not many Hull posters will bother to visit this board and see this thread... There's not much for them here, these days!
Yeah, it happend to Pompey & wigan aswell if I´m not mistaken . Villa are ****ed then next season . Let´s hope we don´t make it to the final in our 2nd season .
Wow, very deep. Let triumph be our aim and not our imposter, then we shall succeed. Something like that, onwards and upwards!!
2nd season in the Prem is always a big one. Consolidate again and then we have a chance to go on and emulate the stokes, southamptons and swanseas of this world. No one is complacent for next season.....just over the moon to be up there.
Finished 14th and 6 points clear of the bottom 3. Thats quite comfortable. We just went the hard way of doing it
