Talk of UEFA boycotting the Russian world cup, but that is all it will be, talk. Action that brings about change is what is needed.

If they hosted an alternative tournament invite some other top nations like Brazil Argentina etc hosted in England or Germany they could take some sponsors and most of the TV money with them.

FIFA needs its money supply strangled and most of it comes from Europe, if Europe stops playing ball they will be ****ed.

So, on top of a bomb threat at FIFA in Zurich, what else has come to light today?
    • alleged match fixing during the 2002 World Cup,
    • Germany accused of 'buying votes' for 2006

Something tells me there won't be a whole lot of 'innocents' by the end of all this.

I'm sick of it. I don't believe a single one of them has clean hands going back decades.

.......and they wonder why fans are falling out of love with international football <doh>

Personally all I care about is NCFC and I'd take that one play-off final win on Monday over England winning the next 4 World Cups <ok>

I may have mentioned this before on here (can't remember if I have or not), but I'm seriously considering boycotting the World Cup and not watching any related coverage of it - certainly if FIFA is still running the show much in the same way as it is currently.

What gets me is how everyone and their dog seems to know FIFA is completely corrupt, yet it's taken this long for anything to be done about it.

That bit on Have I Got News For You a while back really does show how ridiculous it all is. England get called out for bribing with a gala dinner and a part time job for someone's friend, yet Qatar are completely innocent, despite paying millions of pounds to people casting their votes for their bid.

They weren't even doing a good job of covering up the corruption. For once I'm happy the Americans have gotten involved because clearly all the European governments are either in cahoots or completely ignorant to the situation.

So Blatter the 'dinosaur' gets re-elected!!!!

Agreed KIO and whilst it would have been great to get an auto spot, I'm over the moon at having had our day out at Wembley and returning victorious!!!! Shame we couldn't have had a victory parade for all those who couldn't get to Wembley, but at least they'll be able to see their team on MOTD again next season.

Actually managed to listen to 'Canary Call' from Wembley last night - epic!!!!

.........and don't foreget JR you can listen to Chris Goreham's whole 90 minute commentary on BBC Radio Norfolk this afternoon at 2:00PM, including pre match build up and post match interviews on the Wembley pitch. I've set my BTVision box to record and keeping that ! <ok>

P.S. As it's not 'live' it will probably be broadcast over the internet too

i still love england, and could never not watch them in the world cup or euros. still dream about them winning one or the other in my lifetime(i was only 6 in 1966 and have no memory of it). but we need, despratly to get rid of blatter. he is killing international football.kept in place by corrupt african f.as. if fifa was any other company.blatter and all his cronies would have been swept away years ago.i just hope these arrests are the start of the end for them all,as i cannot belive blatter is not in it all up to his neck

Not a great deal of point boycotting the World Cup itself as the revenue generated will be s lump sum not proportionally related to the number of people watching.

Boycotting the sponsors and doing it fairly loudly, not that would start to have a greater effect.

Greg Dyke is talking a good talk at the minute about taking the boycott to UEFA and I sincerely hope that he succeeds in getting a mass withdrawal. Let's face it, England are not going to be a runner for the competition and so in effect we have nothing to lose by playing the righteous card and hopefully getting Germany, Italy and others on board. If that were to happen then the World Cup loses credibility and something has to happen.

Both points are valid but I wasn't say do nothing I was saying they care more about money than viewing figures.
