Agree about Coutinho not being that superstar figure but we can still build a team around him. Like with any side built in this way though, it shouldn't be solely dependent on that one player either.
that describes coutinho.... build a ****ing taj mahal for that boy never mind a team.. he is just beautiful on the pitch. wash your mouths out.
Finished university last night, got up today around half two to rumours of Clyne and Kovacic The hidden hand of fate is rewarding me obviously
Jackson Martinez for Arsenal Premier League - Paper Round: Arsenal set to sign Porto striker Jackson Martinez Arsenal are poised to complete a significant deal for striker Jackson Martinez, while Manchester United are leading the race to sign a top European hot-shot - the top stories from today's papers. Arsenal poised to complete deal for Martinez - Arsenal are close to sealing a £24.7 million deal for Jackson Martinez, per The Express. Porto don't want to sell the striker, but have admitted that if a big offer comes in, they will have to let him go. Arsene Wenger thinks very highly of Jackson and believes he can lead the line for the Gunners. The club have made him a priority and want to get the transfer done as they prepare for a title challenge next season. According to the paper, this deal is one that should go through pretty soon with Arsenal keen to get their business done earlier. Paper Round's view - Jackson is a very good striker who would immediately become the Gunners' best option up front. He's shown he can score in Portugal, in the Champions League and internationally. The fee of £24.7 million is a lot of money for a player, especially a 28-year-old, but strikers don't come cheap and it would take a bid of around that money to get Porto to sell. If the Gunners want him, they'll have to pay up. Fans will be delighted if Wenger finally shows a willingness to buy a top striker in his prime. https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news...nd-arsenal-set-sign-porto-051957059--sow.html
his agent is working overtime trying to drum up interest. its quite telling nobody has bought him yet... dunno why but i reckon he is way over priced.
When ever I've seen him he doesn't seem to have a first touch or have decent ball control/dribbling skills. Surprised es if you're paying that much for 28 year old why not spend 5m more on benteke
I'll qualify this by saying, hardly seen him play. But when I have its hard to see why someone would spend that kind of money on him. Scoring lots of goals and looking good in Portugal is hardly a selling point, even Nani has managed to look good back there and half the teams could be considered League one standard. £25mil for a 28yr old from a lesser league, could be a risk
Liverpool representatives have met with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio to negotiate a deal for Croatian 21-year-old midfielder Mateo Kovacic. (Calciomercato in Italian)
The Clyne transfer makes sense, he's a good player we just need to make sure we get him at the right price and not the silly money of last season.
