    you can be condemmed to a death of a thousand deepfried cockroaches with paperwork thats slightly awol , the 2 takeaways top of my road suffered this wrath . Since a kid witnessing the backyard of Lu HIng House (near Eagle pub) on Anlaby rd - lets just say its the last time i was even remotely near chinese food

    When I used to work at Bean's greenhouses, loads of Chinese folks used to come and take handfuls of knackered cucumbers out the skips. Old Ernie told me it was to thicken up the curries, but he was probably taking the piss.

    I think I ate hos the other day whilst in France(I'm still there) I thought it was beef but her indoors swears it was hos.

    Oh don't Ern ffs, saw that on the telly once, whole sparrows marinated in cognac and banged in the oven for five minutes. They all sat around the table and as you say, put a tea towel over their heads and...I'm sure Jeremy Clarkson was one of the mucky bastards :emoticon-0119-puke:

    Golden Star on Beverley Road is the best, in my book.

    But Wins on Spring Bank does the best Salt & Pepper King Prawns (lots and lots of chilli flakes, it burns - in a good way).

    I usually get their salt & pepper chicken wings or sometimes squid or even sometimes both. Huge amount of chilli. Weapons grade stuff it is.

    Of course, I know that the next morning, I'll awake with horrendous stomach cramps and an uncontrollable urge to drop my guts.

    Waddle, bent over in pain, to the en suite and deposite the fiery golden cleverness.

    It's a dish I highly recommend.

    Yes, you know it's been a good starter (for that is all it is) when your mouth bleeds before you finish, and the 'morrow leaves you twisted of back, clenched of towel, and wet of eye upon the porcelain throne.
