... I think you'll find McArthur coyly forced his throat into Pearson's grip .... I put it down to McCarthur having read Fifty Shades Of Grey in anticipation of the film premiere ... no blame on McCarthur as I understand that this is fairly normal flirting behaviour north of the border ...
You got to a Wembley final having played nobody anywhere near decent. Most fans don't get to see that.
... my bad... one 'c' too many .... which, strangely enough, is similar to what Nigel was thinking during the throat grab ... now corrected ...
In all honesty, once i'd seen it, I genuinely thought there was **** all in it. I was more perplexed when he kept trying to haul him back by his shirt
... which might of course have happened even if you'd gone out in the third round ... ... personally I've always felt that a good cup run is far more of a positive than a negative ... teams have won doubles and indeed trebles throughout history and winning habits are great for team morale - just my opinion We've been in and lost four post war finals ... it is part of our history and I'm proud that we got there even though we lost each time .... by contrast I can't tell you how many times we just avoided relegation and even if I knew I wouldn't be quoting it with any pride
I think this was because McArthur, who seemed to take it as a joke at first, then kicked out to get away from Pearson. Pearson tried to explain he was messing around (that's why he held on to his arm), but McArthur in fairness just wanted to get away and on with the game. Pearson did nothing wrong. McArthur did nothing wrong. The ref and the FA have handled it correctly. The media, including MOTD, have acted like twats (as per usual).
How was it helpful though? Our form in the league was worse during it, and the money from the cup run could be more than outweighed by the fine from UEFA for being in breach of FFP, and they wouldn't even have been investigating us had it not been for the cup run qualifying us for the Europa League this season. It might have done, but as the claim was it was helpful to us I'm just questionning how.
Europe was treated as an inconvenience with reserve teams put out and us not qualifying for the group stage. Spending as much as we have? I take it you're questioning our breach of FFP. UEFA's FFP rules run on a 3 year rolling total. 11/12 we lost £9M, 12/13 we lost £28M, and last year we changed the accounting period and reported a £3M profit. Even ignoring that I think we actually have a £9M loss last year that I can't be arsed to explain again on here, that's a £34M loss over 3 years. As it has been put in as loans we're only allowed to have lost 15M Euros in that time, so we're looking at being in breach of rules by over £20M if they take the club's accounts as they are (which I don't think they will). Based on Man City's fine we'll be fined £8-10M, with an extra £4-6M if they ask for our July 2014 business to be added to the accounts (to make a full year). So, yes, spending as much as we have we could be in the **** as a result of getting into Europe. Exposure, we're already in the PL so we get a lot of exposure. Cup Final exposure will be good. FFP exposure will be bad to the same extent, we don't have the benefit of winning things to overcome that negative effect in the same way as Man City do. The Cup run and Final might have been enjoyable for fans, but it's been in no way helpful.
Thankfully you got your wish Carmine. The boy did good didn't he!!!!! Glad that king Bruce stayed as well. Did a wonderful job with your boys lmfao
Morgan and Huth will never be able to cope with the world-class attacking talents of N'Doye and Jelavic... And number 3. is in response to Ed saying "We can stay up"...
No worries Jack, I hold my hands up, I was wrong. Leicester undeniably performed a minor miracle in your run in, they achieved what I, and probably many of your fans at that point, thought impossible. Well done, I'm genuinely pleased for you. Watch out for that second season though, it's a proper bitch, although if you carry on where you left off you should have no worries finishing in the top half AKCJ's still a **** though
