I'd take him on loan with an option to buy.

If we have 14 mill to spend, I hope it will be a striker, surely there are enough midfielders in the squad.

What if we had more than £14 mill to spend? Regardless, for some reason I don't think he is coming here.

    Kop ready to chop flop
LIVERPOOL have a chance to offload their £20million flop Alberto Aquilani to Fiorentina.
The Italian midfielder, 26, failed to make an impression after Rafa Benitez signed him from Roma two years ago.
He was farmed out on loan to Juventus last season but the Serie A giants refused to match the £16m asking price for a permanent deal.
Now Fiorentina are ready to step in and take him on loan with a view to a full-time move.
One sticking point for Fiorentina will be Aquilani's £50,000-a-week wages. But the Italians hope there will be room for negotiation.
Sources close to the midfielder say he is keen to return to Italy to be with his girlfriend actress Michela Quattrociocche, who is reluctant to move following the birth of their daughter Aurora.
