I'll admit he's not as good as he was once was, but the man has won La Ligas, UEFA Cups, Champions League etc etc. As with most talented foreign managers in this country, they are always under scrutiny unlike British managers.

In Europe, he's very well respected.

Rafa is really going to change all that...

Im not Carlos biggest fan, at least im league title terms but hes a far superior manager to real and commands far mkre respect. As is Jose and others.

Rafa has no chance. Absolutely none.

He can carry 12 plates though.

Let's be honest here. IF Real Madrid win anything next season, rafa will need to thank ronaldo for it.

Should the same rules apply to say...Fergie?, was he exclusively the reason Utd won so much under his managership?, or did the skill of players take its part?

I watched the semi-final and all they did was pass to Ronaldo, who was awful in the 2nd leg. Where as in the Barca semi, all they did was pass to Messi who was sublime.
Real might have to think about moving on from just being Ronaldo & Co and become a team.

He really isnt. He really stuggles to get work and often takes what he can get rather than what he wants.

You daft twonk, I was asking if Treble thought the Utd players(including Ronaldo) played any part in the clubs success under Fergie.

Ive never seen anyone but Liverpool fans say anything positive about him. However forums of various clubs have great fun taking the piss out of him.

Funny that, Van Gaal was asked by Utd to take the managers job as was Moyes, neither said "right I'm off to Man Utd to tell them I want the job"

You're not very coherent this morning UIR.<whistle>

you'd swear he was moving from tapas bar to tapas bar picking up casual labour if you listened to this bias, stereotyping guff from UIR.

So you base your whole conclusion of RM achievement on one match? It didnt occur to you that they lost two of their most creative midfielders for most of the season (including those semi-finals) and their second best goalscorer. That's where the problem lay for RM last season AND in that semi-final.

Rafa's career is in Ronaldo's hands mate, that's the reality.

Ronaldo had to move to Real to fully realise his potential, maybe it'll be the same for Rafa.<whistle>

Rafa struggled for work. van Gaal was in demand.

Lets be honest here and forget the silliness for a moment. Real have run out of managers and have decided to do what any club in their situation would do. Scrape the barrel. Chelsea did it after sacking basically every manager who ever lived and now its Reals turn.

Seems thats his role now. The last chance saloon. The desperate call.

    LVG was in demand?

He's notoriously disliked at most clubs for his methods. And Man United had no other alternatives, hence picked him.
