That's true mate but we're not talking about United vs Sunderland, my point was McClaren > Moyes. For some reason Moyes has got a lot of credit for achieving very little, whereas McClaren has no credit for winning quite a lot and being a far superior coach than Moyes could ever dream to be.

I can understand somebody who wants neither, or somebody who would choose both, but to dismiss McClaren in favour of 'a superior' Moyes is ludicrous to me. The guy took a small club not to far from you to a European final and delivered their one and only trophy. Moyes bottled it every time he ever had the chance to achieve anything with Everton.

He was awful with you lot though terry and not sure if you let that cloud your judgement.

Moyes is a decent "second level" manager. Not pretty but successful. (IMO anyhow)

I loved what Advocaat did for us. Wish he'd been able to take the job! (I'd have McLaren as well though tbh and would rather have him than Moyes)

Moyes has distanced himself anyway. Non starter. Reports saying we don't want Big Sam either, thank ****. Word is Clement is now first choice and we're currently working on hijacking his move to Derby.

He was awful with us mate, for sure, but that's because he's a **** manager. If he'd finished 7th then that's fine, but he told Vidic to watch DVD's of Jagielka, he sacked some of the best coaching staff this country has ever seen and fetched in Steve 'nodding dog' Round, he's got no answers for adversity, he sets his teams up to play anti-football and he couldn't attract any top players to our club (Herrera told him to ram it then joined at the drop of a hat for LVG).

He's never had any success, he's got to a cup final (so has Poyet) and qualified once for the CL knockouts, then got knocked out at that stage. Everton's best season came directly after he left, he got way, way too much credit for what he did at Everton, he achieved nothing.

My guess is that you'll all be scratching your heads wondering how he's managed to **** it up so badly, about 9 months from now if you employed him.

Bolo Zenden may be an outside bet, and a surprise appointment. We are all looking for another DA but the long term stability we need does not neccesarilly come from the tried and tested either. I give you MakemEnemy or MON

Would any of you actually detest fat sam? I think hed actually do well for you.

The manager any club should be looking at is Lucien Favre. Most underrated manager in the world imo.

Not sure about yakin, Basel has a great setup, any manager that came in was reasonably successful, yakin didnt turn basel into anything, as a player yes, he was part of a famous basle team but as a manager, he arrived at a league winning side and was let go after a bit because he football was deemed too dull. The next guy (Sousa) has already won the league and is on his way to a double).

Detesting someone and not wanting someone are very different things. I don't want the the bloke here, but if he got the job I'd give him a fair crack of the whip like I would with any manger. I don't see what's to dislike about the bloke, he seems lovely, just not for me as a manager even if he did(which he'd likely do) turn us into a mid table outfit.

Id happily take any and all of that!! He also comfortably did better than Everton this season just about every season! Top half constantly with them! Christ I'd love that!!

I don't like the bloke and I think he's a little overrated but he'd fit with us I think! But I don't think that we will be going for him. I think it'll be a mclaren or clement type
