Still sounds so good this song! So it seems Malcolm Young must have given the band his blessing to carry on without him. Will be a great gig!
Nothings been announced yet, but this has been in the local news....would be good for the kid... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/video-facebook-campaign-launched-12-year-old-5007647
That's just brilliant stuff. This kids not only very good, he's got very good taste on music! That would be so cool if he managed to jam with his legends
These boys were the support last night, very good - we were stood next to their parents which was quite funny!!!
He's same age as my son, who we're taking, and is also playing some ACDC on his drums (maybe they should get together and make a kid tribute band!!) and he's just nailed some Death From Above (wonder where he gets that from!!!)
This gives me hope for the future of music. Looks like youth are turning their backs on all the manufactured stuff being churned out and embracing rock. I now look forward to a new era of home grown rock bands!
Oh and Rage Against The Machine have secretly been recording a new album due out late this year or early 2016. Can't wait for that if true. Quite a few websites saying so anyway!
They're supporting Foo's next month - Mrs Monkey is going to Edinburgh to see them and I'm left at home
I'm not surprised about that. Ben Thatcher has often sited Dave Grohl as one of his drumming idols. They have both sited Nirvana, the Foo's and QOTSA as main influences in their sound.
Top stuff That's two bands I'v been lucky to see both Reading fest. It's good having that on my doorstep!
Saw Mars Volta at T in the Park few years ago, but never got to see ATDI - went to T for ten years in a row, have now moved on to more "alternative" festivals as the big ones are getting too commercialised, expensive and the music seems to be heading more in a "pop" and Radio 1 playlist direction, which is not what I go to a festival for, and the headliners seem to get recycled every couple of years so I've seen most of the ones I want to see!
