Aww... It's really nice to see the human side of players/ex-players. I miss those guys, especially Jos. Also, it's a shame we didn't keep Surman. I think he could have become a better player had he stayed.
Surman kept the club afloat. If he stayed, I don't think we'd have survived the summer. Although I was gutted he left - he was my first Saints idol!
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150529-messages-for-kelvin-davis-part-two-2473946.aspx The second day of congratulations from friends and family on the OS. His parents say how much the club means to him. Nice messages from SRL, Jason and others.
I think it reveals something about those players as well as SKD. I mean, if we were to guess which former teammates might be expected to have kind words for SKD and/or express themselves well, those are pretty much the guys you'd come up with. Maybe Barnard is a mild surprise. But Connelly, Lambert, Surman, Wooten, Hammond-- all model pros and nice guys who would say the right thing anyway, but probably appreciated SKD all the more since he was in a similar mold. As for Puncheon.... well he does like to talk and I think at the end he left on good terms and really appreciated his whole experience here. Also, even when he was refusing to play and going through all that stuff I remember he was active on Twitter and always pulling for Saints and his teammates who also seemed to like him. I remember thinking that was odd.
