Why did you have to mention the Sunderland game. Living very near Sunderland I endured years of torment from Sunderland fans and reminded of the amazing Montgomery save. I had lost that fom my mind and you guys bring it up again..... thanks......... <doh>

Wasn't it that season we lost the lleague because the FA expected us to play every other day for the last 2-weeks of the season. We were top of the league, FA cup, Europe, League Cup etc and a fixture pile up. We got done by a dodgy ref against Brom and lost the league because we couldn't keep going, the boys were goosed and everyone started copying the scousers by singing "Your always runners up" nightmare period and no wonder some our exiteable fans kicked off

The bridesmaids are nearly always better looking and dirtier in the sack than the bride!

Probably the good news today is that it looks like we are not going after Robinson, Becchio or Beckford, and looks like we are in an Austrian training camp, followed by Norway to play more krauts and Athletico Bilbao with more friendlies to be announced but featuring Everton just before the season kicks off.

By this time we will have had a new coach, and new recruitment bloke, Pearson will be at Hull again ....

I have heavily criticised our pre-season fixtures in the past as we have played some diabolical opponents and we have started seasons under false illusions of how good or poor we are. I have to say though that those pre-season fixtures look juicy, Athletic Bilbao, Hoffenheim and Everton. <ok>

Just read we have Gunnar Halle to thank for arranging the Hoffenheim game...

At long last, top pre season friendlies. Obviously someone expecting us to have a half decent squad by then to play that sort of standard

In the grand scheme of things it's just more ****e at lufc down to someone not doing any checking...
    Move on.
Given our ****e squad we need news of confirmed signings not back room manoeuvres.

Going by what I've read on here, people seem to think Head was joining us as a scout. So he could go on holiday, 'cos all his targets were in his head, plus he could take a phone, laptop etc. with him. Bollocks!

He was to be our Head of Recruitment, FFS!! He had a department, budgets, policies etc to set up, and only a few short weeks to do it. Going on holiday straight away showed a total lack of dedication. Too right he didn't get the job. Anyone landing that job would have sent the wife & kids off on their own whilst he started a dream job.

He was a lucky barstard, but not lucky enough. Chancer! <doh>
