What used to piss me off was Holloway doing his weekly comedy column for the BBC or "entertaining" the nation ala David Brent in his stupid comedic interviews when we were facing relegation to the third tier for the first time ever. This Pearson thing is very different. He is clearly unhappy with our current predicament. He is desperate for us to get off the bottom of the table, and due to his constant bad mood, refuses to suffer fools gladly. It's funny because, unlike Holloway, Pearson isn't trying to funny, but deadly serious.

... the thing is Proud, Nigel was trying to be 'wryly amusing' when he made the initial comment about 'tides turning' - could also be argued that he was being a little patronizing in 'educating' the journalists on the causes of tidal change ... as such he should have taken a somewhat 'ironic' retort at a later stage in far better humour ... my old man used to say "If you can't take it ... don't dish it" ... has always been a valuable lesson to me.

The media don't like Pearson and anything he does they have him for it because they can. Its up to us to stand as a club by him. I agree he could have handled it better but I don't think what he did was nowhere near as bad as people want to believe. Just like the James McArthur "fracas" that was something made out of completely nothing.

Their a witchhunt out for Nigel Pearson atm

I tend to feel the same way to be fair. The media seem to enjoy piling the pressure on managers who are "under-performing" as they've decided it's time they got the sack. Look how they were with Pardrew at Newcastle last season and also Allardyce at West Ham.

I agree. Pearson is doing himself no favours with constant snide remarks and evasive tone with the press. I understand he is under huge pressure in the spotlight, but unfortunately it's part and parcel of the job in the Prem.

AKCJ's is right, we're very bitter because our team has really struggled since the great one left us. I've no doubt if he was still Hull City manager, we'd be playing just as magnificently as Leicester, with only really bad luck preventing us from a meteoric rise up the table, like your good selves.[/QUOTE]
<laugh> How'd that one work out for you. Lmfao

HAHAHAHAHA YEP we haven't progressed at all .... And Hull certainly haven't <laugh>
What was Pearson thinking bringing in Cambiasso and Huth. They made no impact at all. <laugh>

Actually... Most of us did <doh>

Besides, after revisiting your many statements/predictions before and during the season that Leicester are awful and dead set for relegation, and the mighty Hull Tigers are destined for greatness... This gives us a great indication of your football knowledge too <laugh>
