My understanding on the committee is that everyone needs to agree for a transfer to happen; if there are six members then there needs to be six yeses. This means what Ayre, Brod and Henry previously said about Brod having the final say on all transfers is still true but put Brod in a much better position publicly at the time of announcement as it sounded like he had the main power. In reality, I think all members have the same power. I believe the meet up to discuss each targeted players credentials, financials, etc. Maybe two or three of them actually bring names to discuss. They then see if they can reach an agreement so occasionally there will probably be someone that doesn't agree but if the disagree to the signing strong enough, they can prevent it from happening.

Just my opinion based on what I've read, my be completely wrong

 

The think is ok fallows is a head of recruitment but huneter is just a head scout and edwards frnakly is a stat man.. to even entertin they need to have the same say as the manager who's head is on the block or the 12% owner of the club is nuts.

He did medical in uk and FSG being FSG and morons flew him to the states and ran more tests to try and be sure... like we don't trust peoepl in uk with thier funny crooked teeth etc. He wa sout to meet rodgers and was pictured at reds training camp.

I do think all aspects of a transfer need to be looked at and there should be a representative from each area to provide the required information to support and decision made but I am far from convinced they should have a say on any final decision, especially at the same level as the manager gets.

I'd prefer to see a DoF that works with all these individuals but makes the final decision themselves. It is their team and their decision.

My question was.....what was so sinister about the situation that JB refused to say it on here, and why was Tobes saying it was scurrilous, unsubstantiated bullshit, like he did something really bad like had links with the mafia or sexually assaulted one of the medical staff or something? I was expecting something along those lines with how JB was so stoic about it
