http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...l-ex-sunderland-loanee-fabio-borini-1-7280418 Echo says he's probably off to Italy, but given the chance would you have him back on a permanent deal? I'm guessing this might divide opinion after turning us down last summer. For what my opinion's worth, I'd have him back. I'd pay about £5-6m for him tops though, and not the £90k per week he apparently wanted. What you all think?
I wouldn't have him back on any deal, never mind a permanent one . . . . the way that he's treated us with such contempt He's probably got the right attitude/mentality for life in Italy, so I bid 'good riddance' to him
Maximum fee of £5m for me Also wages would have to be £40k or less Would improve us indefinitely, not sure where all the hate for him came from tbh, Liverpool were in the Champions League, he aspired to play in it...no problem with a player who has ambition
It was a simple question, at a time where it's quiet on the forum. A thread that you've not answered but left a smartarse comment on. Don't like the thread - don't comment on the thread. If you've got an opinion then I'm sure we'd all like to hear it. I'll interpret your comment as a "no" shall I?
Bit harsh, suppose that's what we all think considering what happened in the summer. But to be specific, he can go and fook right off. Hope he ends up playing in the USA because nobody in Europe will be daft enough for his demands. Even what he tried to do to QPR is ludicrous
He did really well for us last season, so I bear him no animosity. He proved he is a good player ready for a good contract. He didn't fancy joining us, so he said no. I just wish that was made abundantly clear at the start of last summer rather than letting it drag on throughout. Maybe he did say no, but we didn't listen?? If he's fit and fancies the challenge and is prepared to be paid a reasonable wage then I would have him here. Otherwise bye bye
I suppose there are a few questions (amongst others) we have to ask for any player 1. Will he improve our squad? 2. How much will he cost (fee and wages)? 3. How much does he want to be here? I think he'd improve us but I'm guessing he still thinks he's too good for us - even after a year of sitting on Liverpool's bench.
Left a smartarse comment? Like this one? Is no one allowed to highlight the fact that there was a lot of interest in a player from the club and the fans for a player that didn't want to come, and that that interest from the fans appears to be to still be there? Obviously that's not what I was doing because I was clearly just out to besmirch this thread.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/revealed-liverpool-fc-summer-clearout-9336224 Would appear that Jones, Borini, Aspas, Alberto, Lambert, Balotelli, Manquillo, Enrique and Coates are all wanting to be sold by the majority of Liverpool fans who voted Wouldnt mind Borini or Coates from that list, also possibly Tiago Illori who we have apparently been scouting
No no no no no. Hate that the media can never move on from old links, there's literally thousands of players in the world. He was Gus' top target, Gus has gone. Let Congerton and the new Gaffer get on with it.
Why? He can't have caught your eye, he's playing sporadically at Boca in between warming the bench and physio table.
Sorry, it was said in jest, over the fact that he was the figure that was involved in our previous transfer saga. Pages and pages about it on here I seem to remember!
Why go for Borini when it looks like Benitez is available who could bring Hamsik and Higuain with him? Also Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked very unhappy at PSG in the last game, we should offer him the dream move to England.
