Don't be so sure with the TV cash swimming around clubs will splash the cash and yesterday's heroes arnt nailed on to be tomorrow's starters
Eh? Turnover is total income, it includes everything. Here's the turnover for every Championship club for 2012/13, taken from the accounts filed with Companies House. http://www.theguardian.com/news/dat...p-club-accounts-profit-loss-and-the-wage-bill
The accounts filed at Companies House show turnover £11 million. The parachute payments and profit from the sale of players are not shown as turnover but as exceptional items. The accounts were signed by Assem Allam. The Guardian just added them together to give total income which they called turnover.
Well., you're right, I apologise, but it looks well dodgy, turnover should be the total income of a business.
Its not dodgy it just highlights the fact that the parachute payments eventually run out. That the true income in the future is likely to be closer to £11m than £17m unless the team got promoted. Thanks for the apology.
Getting back on thread, Brucey needs a proven striker for next season or you can forget any swift return! Jela would be terrific at Championship level but looks like he might be on his way.
As the parachute money is now £60m, at least we get a couple of goes at it before we have to worry about it running out.
If he stayed and stayed fit he would bag 25 goals. For me his best chance of playing back in the Premier League is by staying to get us promoted but try and convince him of that.
Why we taking about jelavic we already know he wants out no point speculating how many he'l score in the championship, more interesting to see who we'l bring in to score goals and how much we'l get for jelavic
Because I was, I thought quite clearly, stating that for me his best chance of playing in the Premier League is staying with us and getting us promoted. Who would sign him?
I'm hoping bruce stays British like a few have touched upon weve been pretty ****e with foreign strikers
