The less empty stores the better for our city centre.

i suspect tgi execs have the same snobby attitude about hull, as some of the posters on here have about the chain.

We can't even keep starbucks and Pizza Hut stores open in hull city centre, never mind on the back of a trading estate

I think I have, but only for a drink. Pretty sure I've not eaten there.

I only really use chain type places when I'm away with work. When I'm away socially I tend to go somewhere a bit nicer.

Have you been to Harrogate? They'll occupy anything over there.

TGIF - ****ing ****e. The only chain restaurant me and the Mrs eat at with any regularity is Wagamama - they are pretty good. We need a restaurant recommendation thread for the summer? We ate at an amazing pub tonight nr Harrogate!

Meat Liquor is ****e as well, as is the massively overrated Red's. Almost Famous is much better.

Why does everyone - and I mean everyone so it's not a criticism of you - say WagamamaS? The s is superfluous.

    Except you, obviously.

Byron is one of the better chains, I wouldn't mind us getting one of those.

I've had several shopping centre units, some I've put in toilets and new shop-fronts etc and I've only ever filed plans with the landlord. Maybe they in turn had to get planning permission and I just didn't know about it.

Kinell. TGIs is like a ****e version of FnBs.

5 Guys is pretty awesome if you like a proper US style burger. It's like the real thing.
