So, are we still 'all that is wrong with football'?

Good on the US for trying to do something!

Let's hope this is the end of Blatter and co?

FIFA is not on the list of most corrupt businesses, with the IOC. Both companies paid a lot of money to be excluded.

The timing is fascinating - clearly nothing will be proved by Friday's vote but it really ratchets up the pressure on Blatter.

So much dirty money has been in FIFA officials hands I doubt they could possibly wash their hands of it.

Did wonder if they weren't going to vote for Blatter so it was him who gave them up to the FBI ??

Russia and the Asian Confederation still backing FIFA with the former perhaps without surprise saying its an anti FIFA agenda led by the States.

I also meant to say that you know it's the weirdest film ever when Michel Platini is the knight in shining armour <laugh>

It will be a fascinating evening in Geneva. You can bet your life that the big, and trusted, European members will have been told to get to wotrk convincing others to vote for Prince Ali. Could be some interesting friendly fixtures in the offing...

What is more interesting is the response of the sponsors. I can't see how FIFA can survived if they pull out. If I were running UEFA I would be in deep conversation with all the major sponsors about a breakaway organisation, and use that as a stick to bring the other federations round. A legal gravy train is better than none at all.

Has the Daily Mail managed to link FIFA corruption with the way Waford is run, yet. Obviously if it hadn't been for Graham Taylor and the Pozzos none of this would have happened, England would have won four world cups and hosted two.
