It's not individuals that concern me, it's the smooth running and the hopefully enjoyment people should get from joining in with fellow Bristol City FC fans on not606. There has been numerous warnings and requests for common sense and consideration for other members to be shown and for all the sniping to cease, one member did show respect, apologised for the actions taken and stopped actively engaging in the conversations, the other actually contacted a Supermod who was on a cruise in the Med at the time, complaining that I had not taken any action against the individual in his opinion and requested they go over my head and take a course of action against the other party, various pm's were exchanged from a higher level and some agreement reached, I won't comment on some of the opinions exchanged. After a period of calm, the election was in full swing and a thread about Boris started up, one of these individuals made known a strong comment and finished off with a snipe at banksy and it developed and all kicked off again, I requested twice for common sense to prevail, I then stated publically for all to read that threads would be deleted if the sniping continued, consequently 3 threads were, nothing changed. Shiny issued a warning, banksy stated stay off his threads and he would do the same, Lared came back to shiny with another comment and expressed sarcasm about my actitvities. What capped it all off after all of my efforts and created my decision was his latest contribution this morning.. Some of the points.. * Steve Lansdown domiciled in Jersey (Guernsey actually) for tax reasons. * Lansdown has lifted up Bristol Rugby and placed it in Ashton Gate without any consultation or objection. * If Bristol Sport had the chance to buy a bankrupt Rovers and gain an extra 5000 supporters a week in exchange for some temporary hostility it would do it in a flash. * I have suggested is that perhaps the possibility might sometime exist (given the finances) that a Bristol United could emerge. * I go to watch the game and I would be just as happy if we lost 5-4 rather than winning a boring game 1-0. Perhaps I am just different. Plenty of stuff in that content to start more arguments and I felt it was time to stop it.. May I emphasise it is only a temporary ban of one month on our forum, if as our blue friend chipped in with it had been homophobic, racist, sexist etc it would have resulted in a total ban. I don't normally explain my actions on here but this time I felt it was necessary, now I'm not being provocative against anyone but if any of you are not happy with my actions please feel free to complain to shiny or any of the listed senior members and I will take the appropriate actions..

I have unfortunately let this person get under my skin and crossed the line with some comments to him, I however believe he was here to create tension and he certainly succeeded, I have never asked for any person to be banned from any forum in all the time I have been a member and have instead argued against banning or using it as a last resort, Wiz and Shiny will know that from our time together on this forum. NTTDs was recently banned from here for in my opinion causing far less of a problem, I did not ask for anyone to be banned then! If you read back his first 3 comments on his return (I was going to completely ignore him!) each one contained a snipe at me, he has inferred openly that I am homophobic, a drunk, a football hooligan, a bully, not very well educated to name a few (shut it ROD ) and yes I did go at him in the end as I was not prepared to put up with his sniping any longer, Am I glad to see him gone? Yes, but this doesn't result in me not respecting his opinion to which he was perfectly entitled, he just ended up taking a contrary view on everything for the sake of an argument. The post he put up today and yesterday were either the words of a Bristol Rovers fan or he was deliberately looking to provoke, RODs post immediately after was spot on. I let this get under my skin because he ran to the mods above Shiny and Wiz about me several weeks ago, He gave it out but couldn't take it! He was looking for revenge on me and nothing less. However, I have not behaved well in all of this and would apologise to all members who have been bored to tears by it all, I understand your frustrations and do genuinely apologise to you all for the disruption at a time to my mind when we should all be celebrating the best season we have had in many a long year, which is why his constant negativity was even more frustrating for me. So all I can say is sorry to you all, (but I'm not sorry to him) Oh and redprintt, you need to buy a mirror and take a look in it.
Did Wiz say anything homophobic, racist, or sexist on your board when you were crying for him to be banned from your board last year? or was it just throwing toys out of your prams due the ignominy of falling out of the league, seems even the 'older' generation are prone to some immaturity too? I haven't forgotten your admission to being a notorious WUM from the 606 board, we're all different but I often wonder what you got from doing that?? Always seemed a bit sad to me. Maybe you know more of Lared than your letting on?
Its my party and i'll cry if I want to I dont agree with much of what Lared says, but I do think discussion is the spice that makes this board different. In my experience the opinions of an…er…shall we say 'original' have usually provoked nothing more shocking than being totally ignored, so maybe this was a little over-the-top. However, as a respected and trusted 'MOD' I support whatever decision Wiz has to make on the subject You're doing a grand job son - keep it up !

Well it seems that certain posters can put what they like on here, and if someone, like Lared post something that certain posters don't like, he gets banned, i think there are a few close friends on here, that maybe has a little bit to much influence, and its not right, Wiz you do a great job on here, something i wouldn't contemplate, but i think you got this one wrong, just my opinion.
the basic fundamentals of our "new age" is the freedom of speech and freedom of expression contained within law abiding parameters. I am not getting into any arguments as to whether actions taken are right or wrong, ( and Wiz and others do do a good job in monitoring this board ) It always takes 2 ( or more ) to make an argument, AND ONE WILL ALWAYS WANT THE LAST WORD and there will also be a crowd who either walk away, or stop to see the action, on a forum there is always the off / scroll button. On a forum there are a number of ways you can act, ignore posts, read posts, create posts, contribute to posts... I do all 4 and any thing I do not agree with / have no interest I scroll up to Bristol City and go somewhere else, or scroll down the post to see if there is anything that interests me. Baiting, bantering call it what you may, it does have its funny side, and what a boring old life we would have if there wasn't any..............
There are certain groups who do think alike, you come in to the older category like Lared so no surprises there. Why don't you offer to take on a mod position, perhaps you might have to take a more rounded view on things rather than just how 'your mates' may feel.. I offered to stay off Lareds posts if he would stay off mine on multiple occasions but he was just too pig headed to accept as his 'way' was to continue to make sure he had the last word, please tell me what was unreasonable about asking him to stay off my threads? I happen to think he is just argumentative for the sake of it and I don't care for his opinions. He is anti everything and so negative. Where does he get off thinking I am obliged to listen to his drivel just because this is a public forum, on my own posts. We had all this with NTTDS, all the same ones criticising the mods for banning him, but you forget that there were many people requesting he stopped spamming the board, I wasn't one of those people but his spamming of the board was annoying me too. Wiz and Shiny are damned if they do and damned if they don't. the ones who criticised NTTDS being banned are the same age bracket so again no surprise. -- he was banned from OTIB for doing the same thing! Both were asked to stop and ignored that request on multiple occasions! Lared wanted a fight and he got one! and if he comes back baiting me again he will get another one and quite frankly I don't care what the likes of you and Redprintt think.. (Redprintt another one who thinks he can say what the hell he likes about people as rudely as he cares from behind a keyboard because he doesn't agree with them!) If anyone else thinks they can say what the hell they like to me on here, they better expect it back with spades on.. I didn't start it, but I'll go as far as you like with it if thats what you wish to do! Lared.. Well Banksy, i have never had a problem with any of your posts, and i cannot remember you having a problem with mine, i must say, i have looked back on some of yours and Lared posts, and you certainly have a conflict of opinions, much as me, and our friend Rp, i have had so many differences of opinion with Rp, as you have, but wanting him banned, no way, he says what he says, and vice versa, sometimes i find it quite funny, but that's me, its an age thing. Like i said, looking back at your posts, it looks like you both like the last word, someone had to lose, so it looks like you won. JUST MY OPINION.
You are quite Right AD, we have never had any problems and I didn't particularly want him banned, that was a road I went down AFTER he demanded that I was! not once but several times, he went to the supermods to complain about me on multiple occasions, I never about him once! Thats why I called him a cry baby. I also offered to stay off his threads and ignore his posts, if he returned that request, What more could I do? I also agree about RP, he is pretty universally disagreed with but he has toned his rudeness down since several posters pointed it out to him, yes I find him amusing mostly too! But I do find his recent comments a bit rich! I have no problems with pretty much any poster on here and haven't had since we started here.. his last two posts were clearly provocative as Wiz has demonstrated and someone else made a decision.. one I would have made myself if I was a mod looking in on it.. I believe Lareds problem with me was when he commented negatively about the stadium rebuild, I answered his post with a reasoned and level argument in point form, lots of posters agreed and posted so! He didn't like that one bit... A bitter man. I have apologised to anyone that was affected and that care to accept it, I will never apologise to Lared as I believe he was doing what he was doing deliberately and those who don't wish to accept it, well I can do no more, but don't be thinking anyone is gonna come here talking to me like I'm a dog ! I wasn't rude to him until he was to me.. So gloves off and then away he went crying..

I have never complained about anybody on here - although I have been annoyed on several occasions. It's only opinions after all - and we are all entitled to them. Peace, love and harmony etc .....
Why post this on here when we have the other bus tour thread. Its just bought another gas thread to the front cluttering up our board
