Not to spend on a striker who would be judged a gamble goalies. Benteke's goal kept them up in the end and I think they would want someone who is seen as more of a safer bet for goals
Id think if Benteke leaves, they'd be after someone like Austin. £15m for Vardy is tempting though... now would be the best time to cash in. Helping us with the great escape and an England call-up, his stock isnt going to be higher.
Just so many things to laugh about in this story. 1. We're a better prospect than Villa, surely? We're a club on the up and they're certainly not, plus we finished above them! 2. I like Vardy, I really do, but where's £15million coming from? 3. Aren't Villa's owners tight as ****? Where would they get that money from?
Why the **** would he want to go there ? we´ll finish above them again next season. Are they trying to temp him to play in Europe ? I really can´t see him leaving in the summer. Maybe at the end of next season if he has a blinder, but only to a ´bigger club´.

My guess is that this would be money from a Benteke exit. No other way are they going to get £15m for one player. Lerner's still looking to sell up so it certainly won't come out of his pocket
When you consider McCormack went to Fulham for £12m, the amount mentioned for Vardy would be a bargain. We are in a different market these days. We may still find the occasional bargain at home or abroad, but these figures are the amounts that we should not be surprised at any more. Hope he signs his new contract.

A player values aren't made by that website, they're an evaluation made by the club on how much it will cost to replace said players. What other players with Vardy's pace and abilty are valued at less than £5m?
