Charnley should be dropped head first off the Tyne Bridge. The incompetent prick is responsible for a lot of the mess from this season.

Winning the champions league is a very impressive achievement regardless of the team you have. They weren't nearly as strong back then with Drogba and Torres leading the line, but they pulled it off.

Steady on lads I was ripping the piss <yikes> KK would make a great Director of Football. He'd get bored though.

I can't understand why anyone would want Di Matteo or Moyes. Very cautious types are a bad fit for me. At least with McClaren you know it'll be all out attack. I take any of them over Carver obviously but it would be nice for something exciting to happen for once.

Our shortlist of 80 has just been reduced AGAIN. Paco Jemez has just signed an extension to his contract in Spain.

I think so too. We are not the destination for someone looking to build a reputation as a manager.

I don't think anything's going to matter; we're stuck with Charnley, who in turn has assured Carver has a future at the club. It's such a mess. There were comments from both George Culkin and Mark Douglas (different articles) that stated Charnley felt the pressures from the fans were just a "bit of a storm to ride out". I think he feels he's done/doing that by virtue of the club dodging relegation. He'll sit on this for a while then in between a couple of signings where we pay money, Carver will be announced. So obvious it's sickening.

I fear you are bang on the money here .. The man is the classic, grey faced, non-descript, lower-middle manager promoted to beyond his ability..and who now thinks he can...'ride it out', and it will 'all go away'. That failing can be truly laid at Ashley's door though,...he chose, promoted and delegated the footballing side of the NUFC inc to this farce of a man

    Exactly what I expect.

Jimmy Floyd has done a good job mind. Watched a documentary on him the other day, seems to know his onions.

Di Matteo didn't win the CL for Chelsea, it was apparent from the get go that Terry and Drogba were pulling the strings in that side, RDM was just some mouthpiece for the team.

I have a lot of respect for Newcastle you guys are a big club who should be up there challenging the top 8 but do you honestly think you can attract any sane manager with mike ashley in charge.

Yuck. This is like finding yourself arriving to BRS' Death and Torture 101 class late and, while everyone else is busy playing with impaling spikes, crucifixion crosses and guillotines, you're left with smelly lemon that's seen one to many of BRS' vitriolic targets anal cavities...

Can we not form an autonomous collective?

Couldn't agree more. Charnley's worse, though.

A few weeks? Why settle for that when you can save 5 months worth of wages doing things the MA way?!
