He'll ruin them just like he ruined us, Inter and Napoli. Good for us though, Real will be more beatable in Europe under Rafa than Carlo
Ancelotti is twice the manager Benitez is. Again Carlo is unfairly sacked....like he was with us! He finished on 92 points ffs. second to a barca team spearheaded by Neymar, Suarez and Messi! The poor sod.....wtf is wrong with these football chairmen?!
I think he was sacked for letting go of a winning position in the league. They were points clear not long ago and then finished like a ...Arsenal?
Even if I accepted that as a reason, the **** is Benitez going to do about it? The guy is mediocre as ****.
Not surprised about Carlo. but Rafa is total surprise. Typically Real give 2 or 3 years for long term appointments. Rafa may be playing another interim one.
Aye not too surprised Carlo was **** canned, as soon as he lost the CL semi I kinda knew it was coming, as unfair as I think it was, Real are worse than us when it comes to manager sackings. But Rafa......Rafa? Seriously.....from Carlo to Rafa is a big step down imo.
Bod - tbh, Real are taking a leaf out of Manu. They are doing a Moyesy with the interim one? Clearing the deck or lowering expectation for Zidane or Herrera? But unlike Manures Real are doing it for a different reason perhaps. Anyway you look at it - Rafa is not worse than Moyesy.
Yeah, only an idiot team would get rid of Ancelloti just a year after he did brilliantly for them and then eventually end up with Rafa for a year.
LOL, they may aswell left Carlo in charge if they were gonna do that. Rafa is better than Moyes, but thats not neccessarily anything to boast about.
haha Touche, Sacking Carlo was an idiotic move imo. Most of the manager sackings Chelsea did since the Roman era have been bullshit. The only two I agreed with was Scolari and AVB, as they were both clueless. Rainieri, Mourinho, Grant, Ancelotti, RDM, all should have been given more of a chance. I didn't agree with appointing RDM as full time manager in the first place, but once we had, you need to give him enough time. Hiddink and Rafa were both interim from the start so they don't count (Though if Hiddink had asked to stay, I think most would have agreed). Scolari and AVB were clowns. The rest were sacked unfairly imo.
Think Ranieiri proved to be right decision. I didn't mind Scolari. Grant was not good enough. Sacking RDM for Spanish waiter was criminal: easily Roman's biggest gaffe. If we had kept RDM we would have been world champs, won Carling Cup and had a less unpleasant Premiership season too. Fatso took us from three points off the top to 18 in three months and missed out on two easy trophies v Swansea/Bradford and weakest ever Club World cup
In hindsight you can say Ranieri was the right decision , because we got Jose. But that still doesnt excuse the decision at the time. He was given one season....with a largely new squad to do what? He got us close to a CL final and finished second to Arsenal's invincibles. Not enough time. Again, can't say I am too angry about it because we got Jose, but thats in hindsight. At the time I was vexed. Same with Grant really, got us to a CL final and finished 2nd to probably the best United team SAF had ever built. Rafa, like I said, was always Interim, so he doesnt count as a sacking, he had a one year contract and left when it expired. Same with Hiddink. You didn't mind Scolari? Really? We were shocking in the league under Scolari......worse than I had seen since the early Hoddle days. Then under AVB we were even worse than that! Those two , like I said, were a pair of ****ing clown shoes.
Love the sig "Deltmown" But it is entirely correct, deltmowns are claimed too often mostly by Tobes and Astro.
You repeat this garbage everywhere it seems, explain how Rafa ruined Chelsea? He was a success at Chelsea, CL football and EL trophy, for 6 months, arriving well into the season with a team that was in disarray.. that was absolutely a successful 6 months Real Madrid U-19s Spain U-19 League (1): 1992–93 Spain U-19 Cup (2): 1990–91, 1992–93 Extremadura Segunda División promotion (1): 1997–98 Tenerife Segunda División promotion (1): 2000–01 Valencia La Liga (2): 2001–02, 2003–04 UEFA Cup (1): 2003–04 Liverpool FA Cup (1): 2005–06 FA Community Shield (1): 2006 UEFA Champions League (1): 2004–05 UEFA Super Cup (1): 2005 Inter Milan Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2010 FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2010 Chelsea UEFA Europa League (1): 2012–13 Napoli Coppa Italia (1): 2013–14 Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2014 EC you are clueless mate
Fortunately we got rid of him before he ruined us. Ruined our season: cost us a title challenge and two cups. He couldn't even his boyfriend bottler Torres to get going in the Prem even though it was his mandate to build the side around the choker
Oh so "Rafa ruined Chelsea" has turned into "Rafa would have ruined Chelsea" the minute your illlogical rant is questioned I am a fan of your wummery as much as the next man but lately you've gone all HIAG on us. OK OK I guess we should not say things we cannot take back, but still as per the record I posted, where ever rafa goes, he wins things, simples
I will repost what I wrote on another thread: "Rubbish. Fatso took us from three points off the top to 18 behind United in three months and missed out on two easy trophies v Swansea/Bradford in Carling and weakest ever Club World cup. He nearly lost to Brentford in Cup, lost a home to QPR and bottled one and two goal leads v Newcastle, Reading, West Ham, Southampton. He fluked the Europa more than we fluked CL in 2012, losing games to Steaua and Rubin Kazan. He was ****e. Player power got us a few results at the end of the season when they ignored his methods and knew he was a goner. He took Inter from serial winners to losers in the weakest Serie A ever and has just bottled a CL spot with Napoli again."
