How many times have you checked to see if Rodgers has been sacked today? I must be on about 20 checks already.
Today at work? Not once. Yesterday? Loads. To be honest, if it didn't happen straight after the Stoke game, it's not going to happen until after the review, which is next week I think? If it happens at all, and the rumours appear to be that he's ok - for now.
It's just patently obvious that he'll still be in the dugout next season. I want to say the owners will give him a last chance to redeem himself next term and help to sort the absolute ****ing mess he's made of the squad out, but honestly this club is just treading water - has been for years and years - and I think all their talk of ambition and challenging for top honours is absolute lip service like the speciality of the man they've got in the hot-seat Benteke is an interesting target in that he's got to be a big improvement on the guff we've already got up front, but if that's still the level of player we're seriously interested in then we're completely ****ed. He'd do alright at City like Bony where they've got the squad infrastructure but he's coming into a squad of mostly no marks with us and will probably be our 'big striker' for the summer. I have no expectation at all of us doing some serious raiding and pillaging in the transfer window and getting the A1 class of player we need because firstly we don't have the budget/necessay financial set up and FSG have said apparently they want to continue with the strategy that has scraped us 6th and secondly because that 6th place makes us look really tantalising to the best players doesn't it?! But. As our French-Africaans brethren Dribs says... we'll see
sly sources say so. we know as a fact that our club is as leaky as a sieve so it is not a leap of logic to say at least said source thinks rodgers is safter as houses benteke won't suit us at all i think. can't see it due to the style. he's better than balotelli by a mile just by effort but.... **** it. I agree we have ZERO chance of a real impressive signing.
I only say vaguely positive things about Benteke because he represents an upgrade on our current massive dung heap / midden of ****. But him and Ings FFS as the main targets??... Depressing depressing stuff
they should not be working for our club but they are and they talk about everything. someone at a pretty high level at anfield took a call from sky and spilled thier guts as per.
Been out playing tennis. Finished my singles game and there were a few older fellas hanging around looking for a fourth player for doubles so I obliged. I knew all three of them more or less Guy I paired with is not that well regarded as a person but is a solid, if ugly player. Two we're against, one is a pusher so just bunts the ball back with no pace and aims to get it in and for you to make the mistake... very annoying. His partner is sort of similar but a bit more willing to put some pace on it but likes to hit the moon balls, very high, lob-like shots that bounce high as well and so also don't have any real pace. Anyways we beat them 6-0. Just played one set. Boy did those guys bitch, really sore losers. Saying 'we should definitely have won a few games' 'if we have another set maybe we'll finally play some real tennis'... **** like this. Very enjoyable 'bageling' them as it's known Was on the verge of saying that if that's true then why did you end up with a big **** off zero but held my tongue. Bitter bitter batards. Don't know who they support but I bet they're blues!!
