Ok, I'll leave the discussion there. I agree to the right of free speech, always have but that doesn't mean they aren't ****s for exercising it. Its like someone going up and insulting your family and then running and hiding behind the words "freedom of speech".
I never wear a Poppy on remembrance day, but I respect those who fought and died, most of who, had no choice but to do so
Yea that was my point. I get a lot of people don't wear poppys, but if you were in the public eye, your employer had supplied one and asked you to wear it, literally you had to do nothing because they are putting it on your kit for you, you wouldn't go out of your way to say no. My problem isn't that he isn't supporting it, my problem is he is going out of his way to make a point of NOT supporting it.
There's a difference between not congratulating your family & silence. Well you'll have that problem for life, Josh, as not everyone cows to public 'requirements' public eye or not. And btw, you keep banging on about his employer providing the poppy - it's totally irrelevant & smacks of a master/serf relationship.
Well, that's it football fans, halftime here between the oziJosh roos and the WJ Jockstraps, First half has seen a well balanced match with end to end action from both teams, it seems these two teams are equally matched as they lock horns together, when one side scores the other quickly equalises and vise versa. The action is well worth the admission charge and I'm sure both sets of fans will be saying they're getting their moneys worth. So far there's been no penalties or low blow fouls but the potshots were coming thick and fast from both sides, and let me tell you this, not many potshots went over bar; it was all fast action performances with both sides countering very quickly showing the other side they take no crap. Both teams were flexing their muscles from ready steady go.... and a potshot here... and a potshot there.. within the first few minutes showed us all exactly what we can expect throughout the game, and the action was delivered. So football fans, keep your radios running and your tellys tuned for more second half action between the oziJosh roos and the WJ Jockstraps....
I cannot for the life of me understand why someone wouldn't want to remember those who died for your country. Josh, to go back to original point did you read his reasonings why? He believes he had a valid reason. Now I don't want to speak for James McClean, he is British and Britain is his country, but he comes from a part of britain where many people do not want to be British but see Britain as an invading foreign force, rightly or wrongly. So you could say he should leave the country if he doesn't like it. You could also have said ghandi should have left india if he didn't like how it was or mandela should have left South Africa
We all really need the season to start. It's going to be a very long summer. I can't imagine the arguments we're going to have about the players that actually sign given this is only a rumour
Not disagreeing with you bud, just chucking my two penn'eth in Personally, I think our lords and masters should go fight in the wars, after all, its those ****ers who start them now, I WOULD definitely wear a poppy to celebrate those ****s getting blown to bits but the wars wouldn't last so long if they had to do their bit on the frontline
No freedom of speech in this country m8,try insulting gays, blacks, asians or any minority and you get locked up so why should a Wigan ****er have more rights than us.
