The more I've thought about it the more I like it, (Treble suggested Bielsa earlier and it wasn't a wind up), I still think Klopp should be the main target but if not then Bielsa would be a great option.
I wouldn't have Bielsa - he has a good track record but he's also known for his mental ways and running his players into the ground. Good manager but there are better out there.
If we do change the manager, I'd like to see someone come in that has a backbone. Someone that won't let the player dick around. Klopp certainly wouldn't accept Raheem's recent antics, he'd have dealt with Gerrard and Suarez differently too.
That's a good point and I was thinking the same the other day - I believe Rafa and Kenny both would have made sure the Sterling saga would not have happened.
How would they havve stoppedthe scrote giving un authorised interviews though? BRcouldnt do anything about that nor could they have made the owners offer more cash
A strong presence at the club that won't be dicked about would have put more doubts in Raheems before he did that interview. He should have been dropped and fined instantly.
Before the interview took place, there were a lot of leaks on the contract. Rafa and Kenny would have certainly made sure they were no leaks to the press in the first place, and then they carry far more authority and respect than Rodgers and they would have punished Raheem some way or another.
Buthis agent would still be saying stuff and he wants to leave, cant see how a different managerwould've been able to stop all of that if we're talking we're in the sameposition
IF he had done it, he'd have been severly bollocked for it and not praised in the media for the rest of the season like Rodgers has done. It might just be a big bluff from Rodgers to get maximum value when he's sold, but as fans we don't know and it's always nicer to see the manager stand up to it.
I'm sure they'll be available for you when LVG heads off to his paradise island to retire next year after splashing another £150m on left backs
Maybe so but it's about setting the right time for anyone else wanting to pull this kind of ****. We need to get back to 'no one is bigger than the club' and we need to stop tip toeing around players. Don't want to play for us? ****off then!
I agree to some extent but then we need to look at why players want to leave - and it's the clubs fault for accepting/persisting with mediocrity. We're not in a position to sell our best players who act up, because we have limited appeal to quality replacements. Unless we start getting smarter and start targeting the likes of Depay or Firmino early enough before the big clubs get them.
Another BR fault then, he's been offered an amazing deal etc, all of that crap, which he has but BR shouldnt be saying this in the media. Let hisagent mouth off but im just saying Rafa and Kenny couldnt have stopped that Why thefuck was heon our bench? He should be nowhere near which Kenny and Rafa would certainly have made sureof Get rid
I agree should have served 3 match suspension by club just to prove a point the moment he did what he did
, Honest question to Tobes. If you are appointed as a manager of Liverpool FC, come derby ,which side you are going to be?. Remember, you are being paid to do a job.
Interesting how this 'Rodgers safe' story has appeared pretty much simultaneously with the 'Klopp going on sabbatical' story. Reckon we were after him till he decided to have a break, if he's decided to have and break and if they have said Rodger is 'safe' Who knows what might still happen though, it's all one big mating dance innit
