  1. Difference being Brod was FSG's choice. Daglish was the fans choice after Woy.

    What?

Not sure how CF came into this but Sterling isn't one.

As for ours, 20 goals will do in a poor season<ok>

Maybe if Martinez had more cash he would have been better placed to give him more ammo and more goals

Big fail that though Diego, in Moyesey's time at OT we finished 2nd on 84 points and Utd finished the season with 64 points and in 7th.
20 points vs the 8 Utd have finished above us this season.

I think it points more to the folly of the "tactical genius" jibe when your manager is worse

We've never claimed Rodgers was a tactical genius, Moyesey on the other hand had a million foot long banner telling us he was "The Chosen One" and Bobby Charlton bigged him up as well as Fergie.

Rodgers is what he is, if he had a similar banner to Moyes it would probably have "The Nearly Man" emblazoned on it.

Mate there's a whole thread that's been bumped up today called "Rodgers the man" which suggests otherwise lol. Not sure if I saw your name in there though <whistle>

I'll be honest, I wasn't happy we took him on as manager, but like everyone else i said I'd reserve judgement on him, 1st season finding his feet, 2nd season was sound, this season his mediocrity and lack of experience have caught up with him.

Mate I was pretty much the same with Moyes. I think it's the idea that you back the manager and give the position (rather than the person) the support. So I backed Moyes bcos he was our manager. As an individual he was found wanting, like Rodgers although tbf Rodgers handled the task better.

I too backed Moyes. Until I realised quickly that he had no clue what he was doing and started blaming everyone.

Rodgers was similar. Blamed everyone but himself.

United were at fault though with Moyes. We gave him a 6 year contract and he thought he could take it easy. Half the time he didnt even try.

In the end everyone came round to the same view. Some quicker than others. Some remain bitter but thats another story.
