And rightly so. Your post was utter filth. There was no need for you to post an image of Cyril wiping his ...... with a Cardiff shirt
Agree. Newcastle are not deserving of their TV money allocation, the club is not as big as both Sky and their fans think they are. They were successful 90 years ago but haven't done much at all since then, Sky have massively inflated their newspaper sister companies major advertiser's allocation. That's where that amount of money has come from, News Corp don't wanna piss off Ashley as he gives them cash for pages in the rags.
With 2016 onwards seasons so ludicrous financially Jenkins and co have to get it right.£30-35 mill transfer kitty.
The Bony transfer fee (minimum guaranteed level of £25m) should be available. Add in only 10% of this last season's PL Revenue of c£78m and the Board could provide a war-chest of c£33m.
Yes but you are forgetting that money is and has been spent on the expansion of the stadium and on us buying it, plus the investment into our training facilities. Without us selling player/s I really cannot see the transfer kitty being above £20m, I think we will only bring in 2-3 players in any case, a new keeper, a left back and a forward, and if we do sell anyone a replacement for him.
Yes it has as planning has been submitted, feasibility studies done and any legal stuff in line with buying the stadium. I would say plenty has been spent. Also as £40m- £45m is needed for both I would guess that money is earmarked for that, plus as I said millions has been spent on the training facilities. As I said I just can't see us spending the amounts being mentioned above.
£13m on a 30 year old? Sorry but we need players a lot younger than that, we will have no resell value on such player so imo we should stay well away
Jager my point is this , can we afford not to spend big in the summer ? Other teams will be and we can't afford literally to 'stand still' as it were .
Not as much as we'd like I reckon FFS. We appear to have committed to improving infrastructure; new build indoor training facility, upgrading Fairwood and Llandarcy, plus there's the stadium expansion (whenever that happens). I think we'll be up to our necks in the Bosman market again with maybe one, two most, bigish signings. I'm still praying our big signing will be Alexandar Mitrovic
That has been said with every transfer window, and I don't believe we have spent hugely on any of them. So in my opinion yes we can afford not to spend big. Think we need 3 players, and maybe some new blood in younger players.
The £77 Million TV rights will push our total trading up to around £110 Million this term, and with the sale of Bony we should have a healthy £30 Million transfer kitty for the summer, of course this could go up if we sell players in the summer. Mind having a £30 Million transfer kitty doesn't mean Huw will spend that........... Ffsdon no abuse of powers please! We don't want two bent Mods.............
So you expect the Swans to fund the potential purchase in full, from operating cash......... I do not believe that is the case.
