BAmford was not fit, and if they wernt a one man team they wouldn't have played him.
Gibson is a good chairman, I was referring to their surprise package manager the prem or bundesliga will be calling for him before August.

Mclaren is a brilliant manager at Championship level and will do an alright job at Newcastle. So expect them to protest against him shortly. Bamford will be playing Premiership football next year and I'd put a fiver on an England call up for him after bagging ten for someone like W.B.A.

I know it's easy to say we'd like to see such and such a player back, but this would be based on their past performances, not many players can go back to a former team and play the same or better.

Robinson gave us great service, we should remember him for the great service he gave, not the mediocre service that we will get. He is 35 yrs old, 36 this year; we are a team building for the future, not rebuilding from the past.

Silvestri is a good up and coming keeper who saved us many times last season, and contributed big time in many of our wins. For me Silvestri should stay as No1 keeper, but he also needs a good keeper coach to bring him along, Sullivan it seems is not the ideal coach.

When building for the future, or for promotion, we need the ideal players, coach and coaches as well as the ideal back room staff. We have seen we didn't have the ideal coach/manager and No2 or things wouldn't have happened the way they did. Redders idea of playing youth, or too many youths backfired on him and didn't work, irrespective of our final position. Redders imo was obsessed with his academy boys and it proved detrimental to the team and other players in the long run. He allowed the dressing to become split and did nothing to repair it.

Rosler has yet to show he is the ideal coach despite what many say about him, but my confidence in Rosler is far greater than it was in Redders.

I suspect that some who were regulars under Redders may not play as regular under Rosler, and any in coming players who are better than what we have in certain positions will push out some of those regulars; but it's all about building for promotion, there's no room for sentiment or personal favouritism if we want to get promoted.

The time for saying we should've kept Austin, or such and such players should be resigned, or certain youth players should always play is over, that time was over when Rosler became coach.

Rosler will pick, and bring in the players who he believes can do the job required, we'll still have our banter and we'll still debate, and after all that is said and done, it's down to Rosler to fail, or succeed.

Rosler now has my backing and support.

FORMER LEEDS PLAYER EXPLAINS HOW LA GALAXY MOVE CHANGED HIS LIFE

please log in to view this image

LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers has reflected on his first MLS game for the club back in May 2013 and how it has changed his life after he had previously left Championship side Leeds United and retired from the game, believing he couldn’t continue because of his sexuality.

Rogers returned to action with a substitute appearance for the Galaxy during a 4-0 win over the Seattle Sounders on May 26, 2013 and is delighted he’s playing again and sees that first game as a defining moment.

“It was amazing, it was one of those games where you realise (being gay) is put into perspective. There’s millions of kids that struggle in the world with who they are, regardless if they’re gay or straight, or different religions, or ethnicities,”Rogers told LA Galaxy’s official YouTube channel.

“To be a spokesperson for just being different I guess, I realised that game was a symbol in that way. I wasn’t ready to play, I wasn’t really fit or hadn’t trained for a long time but I was really excited and I felt grateful to be able to get onto the field and start my career and have my family there. And obviously my teammates were really supportive,” he added.

The 28-year-old has since gone on to make 29 appearances for the Galaxy and enjoyed another pivotal moment in his career when LA secured the MLS Cup title in 2014.

“Winning the championship last year, I think that’s why I was overly emotional after we won because I remembered all those experiences; the ups and downs, hard road trips, tough training sessions, bad games and good games.”

The LA Galaxy defender can’t believe how quickly time has flown since his arrival and admits that his life has changed for the better.

“It’s crazy that it’s been two years, it feels like it’s been a lot longer than that. I think some of the biggest changes would be more just enjoying every day coming in here and being at peace with who I am and how I am different from guys on the team.

“But also how I’ve been able to fit in and to transition into being just another member on our team and to be a soccer player, or Robbie, rather than being a gay soccer player.

“When I first came in, it was tough, media every day had different events where there was just so much focus on me being a gay athlete. And now I don’t really even think about it so I think that’s the biggest difference.”

    60. No disrespect but you did see what he did in Holland? Not one of the biggest clubs either? Not his biggest fan but I think useless is a bit much.
