"There's a standard flags protocol, there are actually some local arrangements in place in that area.

That sums it up for me. A ****ing flag protocol <doh>

I'm proud to be Scottish but I don't dress up in a kilt every year and march past my English neighbours houses playing the bagpipes.

They should do a Total Wipeout Ireland Special.

Whoever gets the most members accross the big red balls wins the right to govern Ireland.

I suppose it depends on what songs you play though. If you started wandering past my house playing Scotland the brave or something I'd have no problem - if, on the other hand, you started playing anything by the Beatles I'd start a 6 day riot.

More rioting last night during which 22 police officers were injured. This time over 200 Nationalists were the perpetrators. This country is a disgrace and will not change in my lifetime. The sooner I get out of this backwards, bigotted piece of crap country the better.

Oh look, there's Medro up at the crack of dawn getting into his wee toy soldier uniform for the march. I might see you on the way back.

So Republicans want to stay in the UK under the queen? They are some Republicans. The gullible Loyalist bites at that 'study' not 'studies'. As Rebel pointed out the same study put the SDLP ahead of Sinn Fein and the UUP nearly the same as the DUP. The results of the last election where nothing like that .Now to anyone who has any notion about politics here those stats read like the voting pattern in somewhere like South Belfast. You can rest assured that they were not walking around Ardoyne or the Falls with their clipboard, or even the Shankill for that matter. Why? A cynic might think that the survey was carried out in an area were a lot of Catholics would be expected to say fullfill the results that the survey organisers wanted. The reason for this is that the census results are going to start to trickle out shortly and they will show a Catholic majority for the first time and rising. The Billy Boys, like you, will not like that so a survey like this was commissioned to ease the fears of the poorly educated (you). You go out and enjoy yourself today safe in the knowledge that the Union is safe forever and that everyone is happy. The rest of us are laughing at you. You will be responsable for your own downfall.

There probably is a bit of truth that a sizable number of Nationalists want to remain in the UK but that is down to the dire economic situation in the Republic. They look at the situation there and think thank Christ that's not us. Personally I couldn't give a toss either way as there are more pressing concerns in NI at the moment.

But would you say it is WRONG for Scottish people to march in Scotland because it might upset your English neighbours?

I would. You want to march get out of everyone elses ****ing way and march where people how don't want anything to do with it don't have it paraded in front of them.

Yes I would say so because no one should have the "right" to march up and down the public highways, proclaiming to all how proud they are of their heritage/nationality/religion. If people want to shout from the rooftops (not literally) how proud they are of some boring ****, let them hire a stadium or suchlike and invite all the people who want to witness such tawdry displays to book a seat.

Then anyone who does not want to put up with other people's triumphalism is safe in the knowledge that they won't have to watch or listen to it.
