It's way past bedtime here, but I don't want to go to bed. I wish I had several more bottles of wine, but I don't. Well done you yellows. Woo hoo!
McNally really did pull a blinder with the appointment of Neil. Can you imagine where our club would be with "He who shall not be named" still at the helm?
Back from my pub, reception sporadic as on internet, and local schools are on holiday. They never go to bed. But followed it well enough to know what the situation was most of the time. We are Premier League. Incredible.
Best performance of the season. Outstanding start, brilliant defending. We just always looked in charge! Couldn't be happier with that performance.! Absolutely buzzing!
That first 20 minutes was just incredible. I wish we could have kept it going though, that would have been a hell of a game.
As i have said on a couple of occasions, without a doubt the best managerial appointment in English football this season and may prove even more rewarding, as i have a sneaky feeling Neal could do what a certain Scottish manager did for us first season in the Premiership fifteen years ago.
Congratulations from a slightly envious Charlton fan - although it's only seventeen years since the greatest ever play-off final. Norwich deserve this success: great club, excellent manager, tireless players, wonderful fans, fine city. Good luck for 2015/16.
That is of course something of a concern for us. Back in your day, managers seemed to hang around for a decent period of time. nowadays it only takes 1 or 2 seasons before a 'bigger' club come sniffing
If anything, I think our squad is stronger than when we came down, but this summer's transfer dealings are going to be crucial. Need to make sure every penny spent is reflected in the quality on show on the pitch. Ian Holloway has just said something interesting on Radio Norfolk. Apparently he spoke to Neil before Hooiveld joined Millwall, and Neil said he doesn't need a 31 yr old loanee, he wants to promote our own talent (apparently meaning Miquel....). I wonder what his policy towards our youths will be next season, I suspect we'll see most of them out on loan for the full season.
Cheers mate Still gutted you mugged us at Carrow Road all those months ago! Without that we would have gone up in the Auto's!
So we're back on the 7 year plan, and according to the schedule we're now going to be a fixture in the Premier League. Alex Neil could definitely be the one to achieve that.
