Should anyone feel the need, we have limited edition, signed vinyl copies of Fable's debut EP, Parasite, on sale now! Could be worth a bit in a few years!

What amazes me is that, as you said LTL, Hamilton said he wanted to come in because of the tyres cooling, yet all the world, the media and Hamilton himself seem th overlook that he said he wanted to come in and lay the blame entirely with the team. Seems to me there was a bit of blame all round.

I didn't think you'd be interested in my harping on about how unfair it is and it wasn't particularly relevant to any particular threads. This website is not my entire online social life, you know.

You know what else was a rule at some point? That only men could vote. Also, that you had to own land to vote. And homosexuality was a criminal act. Just because something is a rule, it doesn't make it right.

So you're comparing sexism and homophobia to a rule in football?

Nope, I'm just saying blindly supporting rules is a bad idea.

    Oh bless.

How long has the petition been going? Who started it? If people really believed it was unfair, the should have refused to take part.

The thing is PL, If your team had won that, you wouldn't have been posting that in here. You may so you would have, but I doubt it very much. You'd have been growing and telling us how wonderful your team is.

There are lots of things that aren't fair in life, but sometimes thats just the way it is.

It's not blindly supporting them. Each team that signs up to a competition, signs up for the rules, or to word differently, ACCEPTS those rules.

The teams shouldn't sign up if they don't like them. No good bleating now.

I am not sure how you can compare the two scenarios PL ......IE.......votes for Women.....Homosexuality. As these affect everyone's lives............ not just a few talented footballers...whatever their gender.
As FLT says there was no mention of these rules until it was likely that the Pompey ladies were going to be involved. The only people that can get these rules changed are the chairperson of the Ladies teams if they think they are wrong. Surely these rules are agreed by these people otherwise they wouldn't sign up for them.
Partitions by fans do not have a lot of sway in my view under these circumstances.

I don't think they have much choice tbh. And like I said, I'm not comparing them.

I was use votes for women as an example of something where the rules were wrong. Heck, I could use a footballing example if you prefer, it doesn't make much different either way.

Probably due to the existing size of the organisation within the conference setup.
2 clubs go up from each region and four are relegated from the conference proper. This could cause some imbalance geographically if for instance it was 4 northern based sides that got relegated, and were then replaced with an by 2 northern and 2 southern sides however the conference gets round this by having a band of the country between the 2 areas containing sides that can realistically play in either league, and the makeup of north and south gets reshuffled if required.
Does the women's set up have similar number of teams to be able to reshuffle like this, because it could I have some bearing on their promotion strategy? It would still be difficult with just one team going down and putting the north/south balance out of kilter, but 2 would be even more so.

There's no relegation from the WSL, so in theory there could be a geographical imbalance. Already one northern team has gone up, and potentially another will get promoted next season (as if the WSL isn't northern/London focused enough). There are a few teams in the WSL who in theory could be slotted in the Southern or Northern Divisions if there was relegation: Oxford, Reading, Yeovil and Aston Villa. There's two Coventry teams, and one of them is in the WPL North and one in the WPL South, which is kinda amusing.

I'm one of those shouty types that get annoyed by unfairness.

But petitions should make committees at least consider alternatives...even if nothing changes.
