Well said Miff, its tiresome being the Prem League's lapdogs for the sake of half a dozen games against the 'big' teams, now its someone else's turn to languish as the financial reality of keeping up with clubs who have billionaires benefactors hit home. Yes we were in the spotlight, unfortunately not for the right things I think we got more coverage over the Livermore drugs thing than our actual matches during the season. On another thread on this forum I would probably be classed as a plastic, wrong, I have said continually my time was during the Boothferry Park era and I congratulate those of the KC era on their success far surpassing ours. But during that time of relegations and promotions I never wavered, even covering reserve team matches, its just that these days I don't have that enthusiasm but as soon as a new season starts then the adrenalin flowed just as the season before whether we had been promoted or relegated.

What gets me about this definition of plastics is that some of our supporters want rid of everybody who played or was in charge to 'do one' the one thing about my era at BP was the fact that players and staff were a permanent fixture with the inclusion of a few new faces. So the real plastics to me are those who after suffering the downside of supporting a team want to throw out the baby with the bath water as if that really changes anything and hence the call by some of the return of Phil Brown. Bruce is as experienced a player and manager that you could get these days even the mighty Sir Alec was supposedly on the verge of being sacked before the tide turned. Most of the 'big' teams of years gone by had settled managers for years at the club. Man Utd, Busby, Spurs, Nicholson, Arsenal, Mee, Everton, Catterick, Liverpool, Shankley and the success they had followed, I suggest we do the same, if he wants to stop with us that is.

There are two classifications that matter, people who turn up to support City and people who don't. The former are all City supporters in the truest and only meaningful sense.

Classifying fans as "plastics" is for self important divs only.

Congratulations to all who went along yesterday, the support was superb and I could feel the atmosphere from my home a mile away. Keep the faith <ok>

I hope the fans can get back together! Allam has caused friction between us! And I've been sat in the west stand listening to the north having a go at their own fans! It needs to stop! were all city fans and when we play our first home game next season everyone should have a good look around and see who the real fans are! I'm over yesterday & already looking forward to another challenge in August.

It's a shame I didn't manage to post it on the correct thread.

You should try and post one that I find sensible Happy. It can't be too hard can it?

You'll be asking me out for a pint and a kebab next.

No, lets just keep it purely informal.

Unlike in 2010 I am feeling happy and ready for next season in the championship. Winning games again and watching players who actually want to be here.

The zPL bun fight next season is going to be bruttle at the bottom. The 3 who drop out Really will suffer.

WE CAN and WILL GET BACK TO THE PL BETTER and STRONGER.

So, what do you call people who only turn up to watch us play the PL glamour boys but don't want to know about The Championship, League One or League two?
We all have them. Look at Leeds, a city with 3 times the population of Hull getting 20,000 or so, equivalent to us getting 7 or 8,000. But if they were in the PL it would be a full house every week. They had 70,000 applications for tickets for a cup game against a PL club the other year.

They are supporters. Because they turn up and support. And when they don't turn up and support anymore, they stop being supporters.

    It's quite simple.

...felt largely pissed off with regard to the number of people/'friends'/neighbours that seemingly couldn't wait to confirm to me, or should I say gloat, about the fact that City had been relegated, and I'm pretty certain that this weird phenomena has occurred to others on here also.

I mean, seriously, what the **** do people get out of rubbing salt in the wounds? **** the **** right off. As I said to each and every one of them we weren't relegated yesterday, it was no great shock to me, thanks for the offer of the razor blades but there's really no need, we were relegated against/by Burnley along with other games where we simply gave up points at the end of games or in others where we simply did not compete, and since then the writing had been on the wall.

As with the majority I am truly looking forward to the Championship and righting a few wrongs, I am looking forward to an undoubtedly interesting upcoming period regarding potential player and managerial changes. I'm looking forward to seeing if Steve Bruce thinks he's capable of repeating what he did with Brum. I'm looking forward to seeing how Assem Allam deals with allowing, or not, our better players to leave the club when he clearly needs them to make his investment a saleable item once more. I'm even looking forward to the fact that 'Survival Sunday' next season will not involve us (**** off Murdoch!)

Yep, when I go back to work tomorrow, the usual suspects will descend on me, just like they do every time we lose,"What happened to City then?" Then whenever we win, not a peep. Pathetic...
