i dont see this as "political" to my mind its not left or right. i noticed you mentioned Piers Morgan and the Mirror in a previous post. i see them all as the same. weather your politcal leanings are left, right or centre,i would like to think ( hope to think perhaps ) that all people can see when something is fundamentally wrong. i live in Spain, there have been massive protests against the goverment here, real so called solidarity. so, what are they gonna do? Vote back in the PP Party ( Spains equivalant of the tory party ) the same Party that were voted out by a landslide majority by th PSOE ( basically labour ). does this sound familiar? i didnt really want to get into the politics of it all, and apologise for going off thread, but i guess my point is this, we CAN make a difference where the press is concerned, we can change things. we have the oppotunity now to say enoughs enough. maybe this way of thinking can filter down to the political spectrum. i am hopefull ( yes, possibly nieve )
I cannot believe the disgust I feel for the discussions of the disgusting disgust that is being discussed.
Things are starting to heat up now. Hopefully we'll see more revelations in the coming days and weeks. Now these pricks know what it feels like to be under scrutiny 24 hours a day, 7 days a week like they do to other people.
Gordon Brown knew it was Rebekah Brooks who got the information about his son's Cystic Fibrosis and was going to print it as a Sun exclusive, he confronted her about it and they came to a deal where she was allowed to print an exclusive and he made a statement immediately afterwards putting a positive spin on the story. Yet Brown still attended Brooks' wedding? Politicians and hacks are cosy as lice when it suits them.
Of course they are. That's how they get power. That's the problem. If Murdoch gets overall control of BSkyB it's just going to get worse.
It would be great being in the pubic eye this week though. You can tell the world that NoTW threatened you with this that and the other, tried to access your records etc. and the public will love you cos you're another victim. I do wonder exactly how many of the revelations coming from the famous this week are actually true...... Mind, whilst schadenfreude isn't exactly attractive,it's been fun watching the rags get a bit of their own medicine.
The mystery deepens.............................and Grantham was where the first case of lice was detected in 1538. Curiouser and curiouser.
Lice are more attracted to clean healthy hair. Strange that, you would have thought the pesky mites would have liked greasey manky hair.
