I've been wanting to see Djuricic start in that no10 role. So far he showed glimpses of talent (against Aston Villa, for example, his one-two with Mane for the sixth goal was one of those instances), but he needs to demonstrate that on a more consistent level, and today he got his chance to impress the manager and the fans. He might be the solution we're looking for that attacking midfield position.
Yeah, I could be making more of it than there is. They may have talked, but not implemented it. But I think they did. Honestly, I'm not at all sure. Someone needs to come on here and explain categorically Yes or No.
Whilst I agree that we need to see more of him, I'm not quite sure that away to City is the best game for him to show us what he can do! I'd have done it the other way around, and started him against Villa and JWP in this game. He's going to have to done a fair amount of defensive work if this game if we're to get a result. But from what little we have seen of him so far, I've generally been a fan.
