But late to the party for gerrez but as much as i enjoyed the daredevil series i didnt like how it ended. Felt it was a bit too easy in the end. Watched hot tub time machine 2. Was okay just watching it on the tube. A few funny moments but in general a terrible film. The bird in it was hot though. Watched jupiter ascending too. Good graphics plot was a bit weak but i enjoyed it overall. Got proper slated by the critics. Typical wachowski movies after the first matrix. Nice scenes but bad story
17 years from the end of Roberts Rebellion to the first ep of GoT. Cersei was a child then so a recast of a younger actress to play Young Cersei was not only unavoidable, but plausible. Ned, Robert etc were like 19/20 when the Mad King died and Tywin in his early 40's, so a recast would just look ridiculous. I would, the whole time, just be saying, "Thats not Ned Stark, thats not Tywin" etc
I wouldn't. .. guess that's just the way it'd be. I'd say half of usa would love rob stark actor to play ned.... you'll note I never learn actors names. I just don't.
finally watched penultimate flash... slightly disappointed honestly.. it didn't really set up the big finale as appeared to be the big finale with 5 mins at end the particle accelerator is about the only part of it that set it up and then all of a sudden it was all over. I know that can't be it. You guys have already seen finale right?
New GoT ep moves things along finally but still a bit meh about it all really, hard to care about any of the characters and what happens to them, very repetitive plot too
as in new one tonight? My view on the thing is: The wire had 3 great characters.. maybe 4... Mcnullty. Omar... lester.. and then its your chioce.. stringer bell etc. the supporting cast like greggs and carver had meat on them. The rest were well ok.. but kind of characters but they all had something GoT issue is following the book they gutted the good characters (literally) I doubt anyone gives 2 tosses about jamie lannisters journey to the good side and his poor hand... not one of us i'd say.. but Rob stark, king of the north strikes a cord with everyone... that was a big loss to the show but then ned stark was too. The great character in GoT were tyrell, tyrion, cercei on the lannister side (two bad one good) and it was never quite balanced, ned stark then rob stark but you had little else cos frankly blondie is just annoying. This is why you see jamie lannister not being a total prick and moving to wards some hero status. martin himself sees the huge hole he's got in the plot... YET... he pins the last on jon snow to the wall as thats his place. Yes jon snow has developed as a character there through the shows and we do expect a lott o come but we might be seeing the same old disaster about to befall yet another stark effort from martin who knows.
Finished Fargo, great little series and just a one off which is nice for a change. 8.6/10 Didn't really like Martin Freeman but he pulls off a good performance here.
Watched The Greatest Game Ever Played, true story about an amateur golfer winning the US open, good film 7/10 Also watched Calvarey, decent 6.9/10
another GoT down. Spoiler: got spoiler So basically it was a bit of movement, certainly the presentation of tyrion to blondie advances whatever thats about and we will just have to see where that goes now. Jon snow went walkabout and the ould fella died at the wall. The jamie story went nowhere but the kings landing part was nice set up as almost instantly cercei gets hers.... in the end we now seem to be set up for the finales. looks like kings landing is abuot to go nuts, winterfell battle will be sooner rather than later and the other two lines seem to be for next year... no chubby stark kid story this week surely we are getting towards end game now.
oh and i made a mistake yesterday. I watched 30 seconds of the thronecast ****e... **** me what a whiny lot of bitches.
Wasn't expecting to like Car Share but I did, Peter Kay doesn't try to impose himself as the main man and takes a backseat (pun) to the other main character. Nothing hilarious but just a nice fun show with one or two great moments.
That actually got better in spite of my vicious panning of it. The Reece Shearsmith fishmonger character / episode was very good and there were a couple of other moments that tickled me but didn't give me a full snorter or belly laugh. And neither is it very intelligent comedy, it's just safe, pedestrian, run of the mill, inoffensive filler - standard Peter Kay really with light and affectionate digs at the culture of north west england - but there is worse out there for sure.
had to turn it off.. some whiny **** onabout why every woman gets raped in GoT. ffs its set in the medival era.. send the **** out to india or syria and see what the real world is like. Women got fecking raped in the dark ages
In the end it's fiction FFS and it's a ****ing TV show adaptation of some ****e bit of fluff fantasy novel series. Who really gives a ****. It's not ****ing Homer, or Tolstoy, or Faulkner is it??
