This is true, but I have a feeling for not much longer, you have been our Bogey team this term, which I'm sure Monk will want to sort out next season.........<cheers>

The thing is until Liverpool win the premiership title and get back to super club status they will hold no fear to anyone and sadly that was not the case before the premier league was formed where they were one of the top 4 clubs in the world and only Man utd could match them in Div 1. ..They now employ sub standard managers who in turn bring in sub standard players and that has brought them back into the fold of the also rans, Until this changes and Liverpool employ a super star manager who is given a free reign to bring the great players into wanting to play for Liverpool again then liverpool wont hold any fear. Unfortunately however much i like Brendan he don't have that bit extra to be one of the great managers able to win the big trophies or the premiership......

  3. The problem that we've all been saddled with is that with Suarez they were a one-man band, and he had them fighting well above their weight. When they finished 3rd last season, it feed the delusion of every Mouser in the land, and they all truly believed that it was the club, not merely Suarez, who had earned 3rd spot. None of them could see the situation for what is really was, namely, a blip, a freakish jolt from their mid-table status and calibre. They're all turning on Rodgers, now, but how can he be blamed? He can only work with the ****e that he has at his disposal. Sure, he was a bit of a bell-end for mouthing off about Spurs, when he should have kept his trap shut until he'd actually done something with the dross he signed. If he pays the ultimate price for that, he has only himself to blame, and I doubt that any of us will cry about it.

As for 'Pool, I think they will do well to finish in the top 10, next season.

be interesting to see what happens over here in a few weeks as both Liverpool and Spurs are playing. I know Liverpool will fill the 52,500 Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane (sold out in under an hour), will Spurs fill the 85,000 Olympic Stadium in Sydney?? I paid $200 for my ticket to watch Liverpool and could have had flights to Sydney + a ticket for the same cost to go and watch Spurs. Is Liverpool a big club? of course they are, Is Spurs? of course they are but in my eyes not as big as Liverpool. It all depends on ones opinion on what makes a great/big club I suppose. For a world wide audience (and I may be wrong), I would put Man Utd and Liverpool as having the biggest world wide appeal for English clubs.

don't care Dai, only going to sing you'll never walk alone, atmosphere will be magic, will get BR's autograph on an already autographed pic I have of him. it's a shame gerrard wont be there however unlike yourself we don't have the opportunity to see these clubs live week in week out (except on tv). if I was really keen I would be in Melbourne for a week as well as man city, real Madrid and roma are playing each other, however sanity prevailed

  10. Tomorrow, 'Pool could end up in 7th spot, and the mighty Spurs could end up 5th. Not bad for the season we've had.

Dreadful for the season that 'Pool had last season and all that money they spunked away. <ok>

  11. Indeed, Valley. All those times they finished 8th or 7th and we were playing in the CL.

    It beggars belief, I know.

Liverpool need to get a high quality manager who has got the t-shirt on winning in Europe and can bring in the right players, unfortunately Brendan has been poor on that score....Brendan is a good manager but not a great manager and it shows, A top ten manager at best...

Liverpool are massive in stadium, world wide fan base, history and their trophy cabinet but as a team then they are nothing special and not ever winning the premiership title tells you they are nothing special today. To play Liverpool use to be a frightening prospect in the old first division for any team and in Europe. Fans knew that their team had a hell of a job to get anything from Liverpool.....Sadly the same cant be said about them today and that is down to mediocre managers.
