Brian Ellison was interviewed before the 2.00 at Haydock, said Seamour had the best chance of winning from his three runners in the race. Also tipped by Pricewise.
Wow what a performance from Round Two. Best 2 year old performance either side of the pond this year. Coventry and Phoenix stakes winner for Jim Bolger.
Afternoon all, well done with the winners so far.One for me at the Curragh 4.30 in the form of Back on Top(4/1).Won well at Limerick beating a good horse in Kissed by Angels who has won a group 3 race since at l'own.I think the handicapper has been rather kind for that win .David Wachman has started the flat season really well and I can see this one going very close. I think hot streak can take the 3.45 at Haydock but looks a hot race so only a wee punt.
Very few people would've backed Blhadawa in the 3.10 at Haydock as she was one of the outsiders, and ran no sort of race on her previous run at Thirsk 7 days ago. But she still has two Group 1 entries (Diamond Jubilee and July Cup). and wore cheekpieces for the first time today.
Nice of Brian Ellison to tell punters which of his runners he fancied the most in the Haydock 2:00: Seamour, the 15/2 winner. And a decent forecast with another of his second at 20/1. Well done to the Ayrad crowd in the 2:20 at Goodwood, especially theinconvenienttruth4 putting it up as the first tip on the thread! No luck with Muffri’ha, barged by the two Johnston horses on the bend and never really travelling thereafter in a race won by the wrong Johnston horse from the punters’ point of view! Aidan O’Brien seems to think that Gleneagles is a miler but the horse was left in the Derby by the owners, so I think he will not be showing up judging on John Magnier’s subsequent comments. Gleneagles completed the Guineas double purely on class, although credit to Richard Hannon for trying a change of tactics on Ivawood. Pearl Secret just held on in a messy Temple Stakes, giving a confusing impression of what the ground is actually like at Haydock. Glad I avoided that card altogether.
I havnt had the best of weeks punting wise, bad case of seconditus! The missus loves eurovision and I said I would only watch it if i put a wee wager on it to get me through it so i backed Russia(she's from Moscow) last week at 10/1,now 3s.I havnt even heard the bloody song so just done it for the laugh. Big day here in Little old Ireland as we are the first country to vote for same sex marriage, looks like a resounding yes vote. With the Euorovision on Dublin's gay bars will be packed to the rafters tonight!
Well done with the winners today, none for me today but I have one more for later to end the day with... I'm looking at the 7:40 at Salisbury and it's hard not to like Lil Rockerfeller, a winner on the flat and over hurdles most recently, actually backed him LTO when he won at Sandown, BUT I'm taking a chance on a course specialist, Sunny Future (9/1). Only ever wins at Salisbury and Bath, the race tonight is even named after him!! He won over 2m1f at Bath recently so he can go further but I think this slightly shorter trip suits him more. Surely he's got to win a race that's named after him?!?
Ron good luck to your High Wycombe. Not a great start thought with Sam Saunders being taken off injured after 2 mins! Ephraim double for a 2-0 victory??
A DJ on a local channel here said he was all over the Russian song ste and played a bit of it. Can't remember it much but seems it's either them or Sweden. Whatever happens i'm sure the Russian song will be big in Sweden.
good stuff sth, will keep me interested!this video has been doing the rounds this week, had me cracking up
That's one of those videos like the Hitler rant, where thousands of "talented" artists worldwide will put different sub-titles on it to suit their purposes I expect QMII or Gazboy are busy putting together a version about the Labour Party I'd love to know what he is actually saying though, might have to ask the Spanish lad in our office. I love seeing people piss themselves laughing, it is very infectious
Really liked how Gleneagles ground that out today and went through some gaps, great performance and he is a very strong miler. Well done him. However, some even biger well dones- Ger Lyons Endless Drama running a blinder into 2nd and really franking some Zawraq form. A great yard he runs and he will win a Group 1 soon enough with one of his animals. And Pearl Secret finally lands a major prize. This horse has bags of talent, met with injury when looking a star sprinter in the making, but nailed them today after a sensible George Baker ride and had a nice fitness edge by having that outing in France earlier this month. Great stuff.
