According to some on Twitter we've given up waiting for Slav and looking for a new manager..

Sports Mole say the same thing. They have probably all used the same source.

There's panic setting in on both Facebook & Twitter - and not a little anger. Probably from those who hurl abuse at the players during matches...

It would not surprise me - the Pozzos do not seem to care about managerial continuity as they seem to believe that they need the man who will get the best out of whatever squad he has - and perhaps think a new man will approach the Premiership without any "we did well in the Champoionship last year" hangover. If they think they can get more from another man and that Jokavich is asking too much then that will be that.

Can't say it bothers me too much - so long as we get a good person and he has the right players.

I think that life has changed, and what we might accept as the normal is not. I would be sorry to see SJ go as I believe he took over at a time when things were not quite right. Not sure who was to blame, but some of the players did not fit the mold that well. He did a fairly ruthless job in sorting things out, and managed to get us over the line.

I do not know him, but believe we only see one side of him, when he is in that technical area or doing a press conference. I am sure that there really is a happy and humorous side to him. It has to be difficult to live away from your family for so long, and maybe that makes him ask for more. That of course is speculation on my behalf. I remember that when he was asked to be critical of a referee this season he said that he couldn't as he only had a 'small contract' and would not be able to pay the fine from the FL if he said what he really thought. Is he asking for too much or have the press got it wrong? I suspect that within the next seven days we will know.

Paddy Power has a list with the usual names of those out of work like Lambert and Hoddle plus Paul Clemment as favourite.

Don't get me wrong - I like SJ and hope he stays. He has done us proud and I would like to see him given the chance to prove himself one step up. However the Pozzos never seem to fear change. One thing is pretty certain - any list the hacks make of has-been British ex-managers is likely to be far wide of the mark.

The wolly with the brolly has been blown away by Derby. Now Derby would be a good fit for SJ, could be interesting...

i think SJ and our owners would like to get it sorted BUT our owners will not be dictated to they also know that at least 50% of promoted clubs get relegated
