Don't know how much of this one I can watch before tuning into the relegation battles. Have friends who support Newcastle, including one who has long considered Hull to be a circle in Dante's Inferno. As much as I'd like to see Ashley go down*, can't wish the same for them. Moments of reckoning don't get much more reckoningish. *The Allams are a suitable replacement, even if I want HCAFC to stick around.
Come on Saints! Let's grab 5th or 6th & get EL not by default like last time. I'm not a big fan of EL but Ron has got me on board & maybe WE can do what other English clubs have failed to do. Regardless, what a season! It's been really special. Thanks to you all
So, these multi-billionaire chumps got any kids to blood.......or are they scared. Come on Saints lets do this! Stoked, but what's another day to wait when its the last day of an amazing season.
The team are about to depart Southampton Airport in their favourite chariot 9H-AHA Boeing 737, runnning half an hour late, probably waiting for Sadio to catch up again.
Well I have often heard that the flying characteristics of a Boeing 737 are akin to a brick, but a chariot is a new one for me. The several times I've been in one it's been well enough. I doubt 9H-AHA is as cramped as the ones configured for my little jaunts to Southern Europe and back. EDIT: I wonder if the Lads know that the aeroplane that is carrying them North is older than a few of them..? 23.7 years of age. Blimey..! http://www.planespotters.net/Production_List/Boeing/737/24647,9H-AHA-AIR-X-Charter.php
I am stoked! Saw on Twitter that Leicester have put on a free beer for all their fans as it's the last game... Any chance saints?
I saw the only remaining (I think) Supermarine Southampton flying boat last week. Maybe the team will give it a go next season. please log in to view this image
Just saw on BBC that City are aiming to do their first league double over us since 92/93, the first PL season. Let's keep that one going a bit longer eh?
Bah, woke up this morning and realised its a sunday game! For me thats monday morning. No chance to watch the last match means sad face on me. Fingers crossed for a win here. I couldnt care much less about the Europa league but finishing just behind pool and spurs would feel like a lost opportunity after a great season. Finishing in between them would feel like we have vindicated ourselves this year. Finishing above both would be a brilliant finale!
Remember that happened to me when I lived in NZ. In those days it was all about being awake for the updates and scores from the World Service. I woke up today [still Saturday, as I write] thinking the match was 15.00 today despite loads of clues to the contrary. When Football Focus came on I half watched it while reading, convinced I was right.
This is actually a game that we can be really relaxed about. If we lose, we have still got our highest position and the greatest number of points ever in the EPL and have some chance of a Europa place. Whilst I would like us to gain a Europa spot, it could help us next season if we didn't. Basically, win/win. p.s. I would prefer to finish 5/6th though
