Trouble is with Allam you just don't know what to believe. Even his early years have three different versions. What is his USP?
Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know. If this council have any balls it'll be the end of the academy though. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Ye I had to google it. Unique selling point. Terrible thing. Sports clubs move all the time. We need that for our development.
It doesn't belong to Hull City they only have the lease. The Council can stop Hull City getting academy 2 status and force the Allams to put the Arena back into the condition it was before they evicted the sports clubs. If we needed it that much a good business man would have discussed the options with the owner of the property and worked out a suitable arrangement. It all comes down to who's going to blink first. Although not enforcing the lease against a Labour donor could result in a few councillors losing their homes.
I know what a USP is. I was wondering as you mentioned Allam's USP what his USP is? If you don't why did you mention it? Were you being like Mr Shadrack?
It's both isn't it. It seems like for every good thing that our club achieves, there has to be a bad thing to poison it.
I don't blame him, I wouldn't have entered into a joint venture with them either, but if he hadn't got the hump and started sulking there was a deal to be done on hIs own. To be fair, I think Allam Marine's success has come from his product/service, rather than his marketing, his website looks like it cost £50 in 1992.
I've seen a lot of people online who've said they're renewing, not going to let him win, never given into a bully and not going to start now, etc. I'm not renewing, unless something significant changes after the next name change rejection in July, but my parents are. From what I've seen, of the people who are completely anti-Allam, I'm in a minority in not renewing, so I'm not sure sales will fall as much as I thought they would a few weeks ago. Obviously, my non renewal is entirely down to Allam. But it isn't the name change. I didn't think twice about renewing last summer even though I didn't think the name change was over. It's the Allams and the club as a whole. Of course the name change is ****ing stupid, but it's the way he's gone about it, the underhand tactics, the cheating and the lies, the Airco, the ASI, the stealth re-branding, employing club legends to tell us off, the way they treat the fans and the fact no one's doing anything about it. The last few home games have been totally depressing since the booing started again. All those things are much more off putting to me than the name change attempt itself, which will never succeed. Chazz - not gonna have a big argument but you said you know it's not gonna bring in millions, but he's just trying something to make money. It absolutely isn't about money. I've seen minutes of the meeting where he freely admitted it was all about the council. That's why the date on the paper that he claimed was his inspiration doesn't add up and that's why James Mooney and commercial manager Simon King were struggling so much to try and continue the lie Assem started about companies wanting to sponsor Hull Tigers. That is the kind of thing that irritates me most, the half arsed lies to try and shut the fans up. This whole campaign to try and cover up a mistake he made two years ago just by lying more and more and using whatever tactics necessary.
Oh and I talk about the situation a ****ing lot. At work there's loads of armchair PL fans who want to talk about it but don't know **** all. Like Kemps I bore people to death with it.
I can understand anyone not renewing if they feel so strongly about it I dont want the name change but dont know what I would do on a saturday. hopefully I will still be going for many years to come long after we have changed owners managers and players. I have been black and amber since been a young lad and will be until I am a very old man hopefully. Regarding the many not renewing hopefull many will return some time and still have a keen interust in city
I agree with most of this It's the tap tap tapping away until people are fed up and just accept it in the end. I do not look forward to gonna the stadium at all the fan versus fan situation is dreadful Divide and conquer then enter the conformists , plastics and the cardboard cut outs I. E the South Stand
I think the ctwd group who didnt do what they absolutely said they were going to and release the minutes killed any chance of full support. It was their first big test and they blew it. I believe a vote was taken but the results were never published of who and how many chose to play politics and not release them.
It was nothing to do with politics, it was just about what we thought was the right thing to do at the time and it wasn't one vote, it was revisited on several occasions. Had we known what was to come over the following year or so, we might well have not cared about embarrassing the old bugger and his daft and slanderous comments and we'd probably just have released them and **** the consequences. Hindsight's a wonderful thing.
Because its the cancer that is eating into our club. Until Assem Allam has gone it will always be around.
the only people whose opinions count are are the ones who go to the games.the pnly pro name change people i have spoken to watch in the pubs
Yeah it's a bit like that Jerk Geoff who rings RH every week to offer his opinion He doesn't even go to the game why the **** does that presenter give him credence
I agree that guy really pisses me off, never goes to games, and thinks the sun shines out of AA arse.
