I don't give a monkeys toss who is voted in the whore's party, as for labour, why are you are you saying they have voted in a new leader for me? I told you before I only voted labour as a lessor of two evils, perhaps your memory span is that of a goldfish?
We live in a democratic country as it we the electorate who vote these people into 'power'. If you think we live in anything other, then visit North Korea, the Middle East and countless countries in Africa where dictatorship is rife.
Where is the democracy ???? A party with 35% against 65% runs the country.....I fail to see and democracy in this country im afraid......Its the ones who have all the money control this country.....
When you vote in an election, the party with the largest share of the vote wins. Simple Then again Dai, you don't want a democratic country do you?
and you think that is fair and democratic when 2/3rds don't want them get out of here that's not democracy...
I will explain to all the brain dead how you can get a party elected with over 51% the true democratic way. Its very easy and the fairest way of doing things with so many small parties, You have a general election as normal that ends up with no overall majority, so you have another vote between the 3 highest parties with the rest of the minor parties voters casting their vote for one of the 3 and if that don't produce a 51% + then you drop down to the two highest until eventually you do get a democratic elected government.
Perhaps it's just me but you started a thread imploring people to "vote Labour", you layed out some policy you presumably agreed with in the opening post and in defence of your support of the Labour party you stated (on this very thread); ....now, just a couple of weeks later you claim you only voted for them as a lesser of 2 evils and couldn't give a toss about the direction the Labour party might be heading in. Your foray into political debate has been unsophisticated at best, infantile is a better word, summed up by the statement "my life under the con-dems has deteriorated, I was in a better position 5 years ago as now!" So **** principles, **** the good of the country, **** what's best for our kids.....it's all about you.
So you get a more democratic country by giving people less choices or allowing the electorate a superficial choice before forcing them to pick between the 2 biggest parties. Why stop there? Restrict it to a 1 party system and you can have governments with 100% of the vote. You are the last person who should be doling out the "braindead"s. The fairest, most democratic, system would be a Proportional Representation system. That way nobody's vote would be pointless and a lot more points of view would be represented in parliament. This would lead to more coalitions and at the very least would put pressure on the 2 largest parties to (for example) adopt more green policies if the Green party was to gain more votes and seats.... An example of this is the rise of UKIP. The 2 main parties didn't want a referendum on Europe, now we have one (because the Tories were frightened of haemorrhaging support to UKIP). The Labour party didn't want to discuss immigration policy, now it is forced too because they are losing votes in working class communities to UKIP. Proportional Representation would accelerate and amplify this process...voters would have a stronger voice and those in power would need to listen.
A classic case of a goldfish I see, yes I voted labour for their policies, you see I considered their policies better than the condems, is that to difficult to comprehend? And terror I vote for me and what I consider is the best for me, as for your condescending and superior like ****e you spout on here, you my friend are deluded, and your head is so far up your own arse I'm not sure which spouts the most ****e. At the end of the day this is a football forum, that's what I come here for primarily, I can't be bothered to discuss politics in depth with you, the reason is quite plainly obvious, you start with you are right and everyone else is wrong. That's why I can't be bothered, I'm just humouring you, and this thread was put up because of your ****e you posted in a thread.
Insult all you want. All you have demonstrated on this thread and the other one is that you have no political principles, stand for nothing (other than being anti-Tory) and confuse political debate with name calling...which is school yard. If I was Swansea Labour reading this I would find it utterly depressing....the most vocal "vote Labour" posters being; yourself and Dai Tse-tung. Neither of you are even willing to admit you are Labour supporters!!!
If he's not Labour then he must belong to one of these "small", "fringe", "minor" parties that he has got his knickers in a twist about....you know Dai you seem to have argued yourself into a corner here;
I have a highly educated nephew and father-in law who are both staunch Labour. We enjoy discussions about politics immensely despite not agreeing....the thing is, regarding our "debate" on here you are simply not up to it. You don't know what you believe in, you are incapable of joined up thought and you seem ignorant of the history and the facts. I agree, against the weakness of your arguments I do seem condescending and superior....go and get yourself an education and you won't feel inferior.
its mugs like you that keep this illusion of democracy going valley.......why do people like you except what you got is great just because others in this world are being treated lower than yourself......ffs wake up and smell the coffee dude.....the men and women you vote for work not for you they will work for big business and its them that will set the perimeters of our wealth and liberties................but the simple truth is we could have much more if we changed the way we look at money as the only real need in life.
I've got it good because I've worked my way through my education, adapted my career choices, I am driven, ambitious and motivated to succeed unlike the likes of you who just complain about everything. If you think we live in an non democratic country, I suggest you do some research. It's mugs like you who refuse to vote for change that keeps handing the power back to the Tory/Labour politicians. I voted PC, they do not work for the big businesses. Go and spend some time in North Korea, then come back and tell me we do not have a democratic country.
