You honestly get more daft with every post. Nearly everything you say deserves a face palm.

There isn't really a multitude of reasons, there's one, there are no houses like mine available within the Hull boundary, even if that's where I wanted to be.

Sad thing is, sad twonks in London actually think like this. I can't stay in London myself for more than 3 days without wanting to leave, too many people, horrible place once you've got past the touristy first few days

How is it daft? I'm showing how wording of a headline can completely throw the context of a story and create mass hysteria.

The criticism is just of the ridiculous tight boundaries that put all the more affluent areas outside of the Hull boundary, in other cities this isn't the case.

My Mrs thinks London is a ****ing **** tip. She thinks the locals, in general, believe themselves to be more intellugent than they actually are (many believe just coming from London gives them an intellectual edge), they are poor drivers & are ignorant of many things ourside of London.

I'd say she's not far from the truth.

There was, but it was a thoroughly pointless exercise.

So who is your criticism aimed at? I'm guessing - but I might be wrong - it's people who live near Hull but don't want to live in Hull.

I'm criticising those responsible for us ending up with such tight boundaries in the first place, there's current a boundary commission panel doing research into whether those boundaries should be moved. Their decision will be based on what benefits that change would bring to the area as a whole, they'll pay little attention to the vote that only took place in some of the East Riding suburbs.

Daughter lives in a nice spot in London. We were there the other day and they spoke, by name, to one of their neighbours a few doors down as we passed him. This was newsworthy enough to create much discussion and an explanation of how they actually came to know this persons name and become on speaking terms with them!...

When she first moved there she spoke to the bus driver once (presumably a "cheers drive" at the least)...he was shocked and horrified...its probably still an anecdote that he tells when he is with his friends huddled round a £6 beer.

On the other hand of you want, for some unknown reason, for Londoners to talk to you then just take a dog with you. We were treated like local celebrities for being able to own two large dogs, and we couldnt go more than ten feet without someone stopping to talk, stroke the dogs or take a photo of them. Presumably they assumed we were multi millionaires who could afford to live in big a house in London with a big garden!

Why on earth would you want to include the South bank?
