If these two signings happen this week will we be happy as QPR fans ? Has the appeassed the summer traumas we have been experiencing. I for one think it is a move in the right direction, bringing goal threats into our side. Still think that we are in need of more quality though , especially in the FB dept. thoughts?
yes....id take webber as well. looked really fit (physically) yesterday in training. he won the 20 metre bleep machine thingy majigg...leon clarke was a very close second. campbell bothroyd mackie webber sounds ok to me.
Thoughts? You lot were so negative but it was plainly clear we would be signing players. Why the panic to sign in the first 15 minutes? I would take a front line of Bothroyd & Campbell over Graham & CMS tbh I'm telling you ITS ALL GOOD!! I'm so positive today I'm having gooseberry preserve on my porridge. Up the R's!
I think its a start. Prefer these to CMS. These guys will only come because of NW though and it doesnt solve the overall problem of not enough money being made availble.
bothroyd - 20 goals in the c-ship dj (a friend of mine) 13 goals in the p-ship these are goals at a competetive level. i still say webber as well, he could turn out to be the gem in the crown....
it would be a great start now we can start thinking of defenders. i for one would like to see a bit more speed in the full back positions
Hasn't been confirmed yet........... But Bothroyd has to of been our No.1 target all summer, I really can't see anybody else available to us that would've suited us better. Brilliant business if it comes off. DJ I was not plussed a few weeks back, but thinking about it, as one of the 3 behind Bothroyd he may really revel, and 13 goals last season in the Premiership is fine form and I'd take Campbell over CMS/Graham/Morison any day. Happy days if these come off, tip of the cap to the board. Now just Bassong + Naughton to go
I would be happy with both, i just can't see how they are going to fit into our current wage structure.... neither of these boys are monkeys and they will want more than peanuts... Listening to Warnock yesterday it seems all we can pay is a bag of dry roasted at best. Hopefully even our board will eventually realize we are going to have to pony up some cash or its going to be embarrasing and Warnock will be gone by the end of October.
One fine day does not a summer make... and as far as I know, it hasn't made a transfer either as yet. Yes, after all the FA points deduction, ticket price hikes and upsetting of our success machine - including the thin ice Warnock has to walk on, the prospective signing of a player of Bothroyd's calibre, is a breath of fresh air that lifts the spirits somewhat - but it doesn't solve the problem of impotent and incompetent billionaires calling the shots. Give us a start like Blackpool's last year, a January revamp and prem survival come May, and maybe, just maybe I'll start to think we're getting our act together. (Sorry!)
Its definitely a start no doubt. A step in the right direction at least (presuming we do actually sign them).
Whlst it is good to see hopefully DJ, Webber and Betty sign, we also have the "unknown" Troy Hewitt"...who I have a feeling will surprise a few .
