What did you make of that stadium mate? I've been twice and it was like a library on both occasions.

Lifeless fans who trot out "Ooooh Santi Cazorla" every 15 minutes, nothing more, nothing less.

After the Stade de France, Marseille & Wembley I'd say it's the most impressive but the support is poor.

My son was in the Arsenal section and, apart from a couple of lads, it was mainly foreigners, Sunderland & various 'guests'.

Highbury was never great and the atmosphere is even more diluted now.

Aesthetically, I'd agree it does look good but they seem to have either ****ed up massively with the acoustics of the place or their fans are just incapable of making any sort of noise at all.

I remember watching them in the CL on tele earlier this season and it actually sounded like they just gave a round of applause when they scored instead of cheering.

I noticed that a few seasons ago. Watching it on the telly I remember, I think it was Arsenal who scored an opener at home, the noise the crowd made was a cheer that lasted for about 2-3 seconds then just dipped to the sound of supporters chatting away about what they just witnessed. The best way I could describe it was it was like the noise that was made when somebody dropped their dinner plate at school 'WAHEEEYYYYY......WAAAAANKKKKERRR!!!!' It was as though the supporters were expecting their team to score and when they did it had an air of 'it's about time' about it.
