How the hell do people after all these years still misspell the name of one of our greatest ever players?

It's not even a hard name to spell FFS.

    That was my first thought.

But even a good few plastics should know him considering he was around for the first Prem voyage.

He played the majority of the 08/09 season.

Though he missed the entirety of 09/10.

I apologise to all concerned for posting Ashby and not Ashbee.

No excuse and I would like to thank all those who have pointed out my error, its a pity that you do not bother when a banner becomes an A4 card or even and item.

I think it's because Ash matters whereas whether it's an Allam Out banner or an Allam Out wallchart really doesn't make any ****ing difference.

    banner
    (ˈbænə)
    n
    1. a long strip of flexible material displaying a slogan, advertisement, etc, esp one suspended between two points
    2. a placard or sign carried in a procession or demonstration
    3.
something that represents a belief or principle: a commitment to nationalization was the banner of British socialism.
    4. (Heraldry) the flag of a nation, army, etc, used as a standard or ensign
    5. (Heraldry) (formerly) the standard of an emperor, knight, etc
    6. (Journalism & Publishing) Also called: banner headline a large headline in a newspaper, etc, extending across the page, esp the front page
    7. (Computer Science) an advertisement, often animated, that extends across the width of a web page
    8. (Heraldry) a square flag, often charged with the arms of its bearer

Nit-picking, no doubt due to an OSC agenda*.

*for the avoidance of any doubt, this is just a sarcastic comment.

You are simply deflecting the arguement. You said banners were confiscated, banners, but it was not correct, for what ever reason it simply was not true, but you then try to justify your use of banners by saying that it really does not matter banners or items or whatever, well it does matter. If Hull City instructed any other club to confiscate any material that had "Allam Out" on it at the turnstyles. That is wrong, full stop wrong. I would support any complaint to the clubs if that happened. But how can anyone support a complaint if the facts do not match what you say happened? It does matter that you posted banners and stuck to that. If you make a mistake that is one thing, put your hands up and admit it. You will not, why, I do not know why, but you should.

What is the OSC going to do about the confiscation of Allam out propaganda? And the Allam Out campaign as a whole?

    They must have a stance.

    Oh really?

I can't get my head around the fact that despite what he argued about in the first place been proven 100% wrong, he's still going on as if he's the hurt victim in all this. I'm starting to suspect PLW is a scouser.

People did have things taken from them, your obsession with the definition of banners just makes you look a twat and we're waiting to find out who told the stewards to take things from people.

This is quite possibly the most petty, semantic based nonsense I've ever discussed on here.

The claim was clearly that Spurs stewards had been instructed by City to remove protest banners/ material from City fans. There's nothing so far to support that, and protest banners/ material were clearly on show.

People get things removed at many grounds for many reasons. Someone's tried to attribute this to the club.

The pedantry is your's and plt's.

No ****ing banners were confiscated as claimed, you and PLT both know this but you are not man enough to admit it. The whole point was that Happy had said that banners had not been confiscated and he was right, just do the honourable thing, for ****s sake, I'm even boring myself with this ****.
