I have ferry tickets for Ireland booked on the 26th.

Don't suppose anyone is going near Holyhead? <wah><steam>

As usual with football fans it's moan f***ing moan f***ing moan and usually I am the worst offender!! Could somebody please tell me how the hell the Club could sell nearly 40000 tickets in less than a week MAKING CERTAIN AS FAR AS POSSIBLE that they went to genuine supporters instead of those who turn up once every 5 years or, worse still, those who want to buy as many as possible to sell on for a profit. Personally I think that in the circumstances the Club has done the best job it could in such a short period of time.

Totally agree, it's clear that demand was always going to outstrip supply, so a lot of people were always going to be disappointed, but as you say it's clear that the vast majority will be genuine supporters and I'm sure the additional ticket bought yesterday by those who already had one from saturday will be going to a good cause rather than being flogged on for a profit. Sounds like we certainly got it sorted far better than Boro did.

I don't disagree that they did a fair job (judging by worse fiascos for Boro) but there were very obvious silly errors.

And I'm sorry, but failing to remember that away season ticket holders/those with lots of away points are clearly fans who should get priority is inexcusable. That's the one that I'm annoyed about.

The priority membership things was a farce but an oversight. And while I disagree with the extra ticket allocation to ST holders/PMs and think that does create a secondary market for those people to cover their ticket costs, I can see why the club made that decision.

I agree, that apart from selling PMs after the final whistle on Saturday, our club has done a very good job. It should also have included away season ticket holders in the initial scramble for tickets, but I'm certain we'll have more 'genuine' fans than Boro will.

It's quite steep I agree, but in the overall cost of things (by the time I get there, have a beer and a bit to eat etc) will spend around £100!! It's most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity. <ok>
