Sadly I fear not, I think it'll be done and dusted by then, at least for us.

Speaking of history repeating itself, Sunderland played Chelsea then too (as they do this time).

And Newcastle are worse now than they were that season.

I'd love it if they went down instead of us again.

Sadly I just can't see history repeating itself.

Ultimately, I think we might find ourselves really regretting, not the 3-0 defeat to The Mags, but throwing away that 2 nil lead at Sid James Park.

Newcastle are pretty bad and, to make matters worse, they're facing some of the relegation rivals.

And so the final day approaches, even a Newcastle draw gives the Tigers a chance, slim maybe but possible.

No, because if we lose this time round we are relegated.

Was going to say the same thing. Forget the past, focus on the now. Swanny put an article up saying the spirit of 2008 needs to be summoned or something to that effect. Moron.

Our spirit in May '09 was pretty ****e as I recall; we whimped out 0-1 to a second-string Man U who had a champions league fixture the following week.

Whilst I would hope we'd give it all we've got this time and hope Man U have their flip-flops on, I can't see why West Ham won't also have theirs on up at the Mags.

We need an early goal and get the 'table as it stands' circulating around the Geordies and see the panic unfold.

I don't get all this if they do this and that and Newcastle are **** etc.
The sad fact is we are ****.
Been unlucky with Snodders and Diame and Jelavic injuries but in the main we have been ****.
We have been **** since January 2014.
If we go down down it's of our making.
Sdly, we have players who don't give a ****.

How many regrets do we have this season. It just does not boil down to one or two results. It was complacency for the entire season

We could have lost that match 37-0 and stayed up

In 2008 I'd got to Kings X on the Thomas Cook footex (journey time 4 ****ing hours)

Aiming to get to Wembley for 1330 to enjoy the iconic Grandstand Cup Final longshot of fans streaming up Wembley Way.
