    That's the key word jb.

Although I can't see our owners not going him funds, but tbh our club probably has one of the biggest player pool's(including loaners)in the league and needs to be whittled away to sort the wheat from the chaff.

We don't sell, we just seem collect players.<laugh>

If Flanno isn't back it'll be the first season I can remember with no scousers in the line-up - don't like that either. Lambert of course may still be there but where's the 1st teamers in waiting?? If we don't buy a few, or even one big name, I'd give the youngsters a decent run can't be any more risky surely.

Do you think if we gave Lambert, Lovren and Lallana back he'd stop posting on here?

Still as relevant today as the day it was written. Brendan is bluffing his way to a living at the expense of the very real and questionably achievable ambitions of Liverpool Fc. The link was in no way meant to wum, it was posted to enlighten <ok>

But we were enlightened by that article a few months ago and Brendan's been enlightening us since his first day as LFC manager.

The thing is, you obviously didn't even read the article but were taken in by the lazy journalists headline. For all the Blarney that we know he talks, at no point does he say we'd win the CL. In February, the time the article was written, we were playing better football and his comments suggested, if we were playing this football back in December, we'd have stood a better chance in the CL.

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group to grill Brendan Rodgers over season's failure
    • Liverpool will finish outside top four and lost out in four cups this season
    • Brendan Rodgers will be grilled over the failures by the club's owners
    • No indication that Rodgers' job is under threat in upcoming meetings
    • Liverpool spent £110m on players but only Emre Can has been a success

Brendan Rodgers faces an end-of-season meeting with Fenway Sports Group as they demand answers to why Liverpool’s season finished in failure
While FSG did not expect Liverpool to challenge for the title this season, following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, it was hoped Rodgers would secure a top-four finish. Instead, Liverpool have flattered to deceive.
There is no indication that Rodgers’ job is under threat — FSG stressed after losing the FA Cup semi-final to Aston Villa that he was still their man — but he will be grilled by principal owner John W Henry, chairman Tom Werner and director Mike Gordon

Meeting Rodgers will be part of a thorough review, particularly after FSG made their biggest investment ever in one transfer window last summer, when more than £110million was spent on eight players.

I'm amazed so many people think he will take us forward.

It will be a massive mistake for our club if he remains as manager, we are turning more and more mediocre each season

Well we're not are we? We had a mediocre first season, superb second season and not too bad third season albeit missing out on a cl place. Next season will be crucial and a real indication of where we are going and whether or not we are indeed getting 'more and more' mediocre as you say.. And I'm someone who's never been sold on Rodgers.
